    I've been an OKC fan since 2010. It's one of the reasons I decided to come to Oklahoma for college because I could go to OKC thunder games. I've been to a bunch and loved all of them.

    I got into NBA around 2008 but never had a team for my own, OKC changed that. Westbrook and KD were always my favorite, loved the chemistry. I've seen these guys live, I was at KD's record breaking 55 point game vs GSW and I even met KD in person at the OU gym, got my picture taken too. I was so hyped.

    I've been the "there's always next year" fam. I even shed some tears this season with our 3-1 lead blow. This tho, this is the most heartbreaking moment in sports I've ever felt. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach. I cannot believe one of my favorite players left a top 3 team to join a top 2 team.

    I hope all these coming wins are absolutely hollow.

    The worst part about the NBA is the lack of parity, there are 4 teams in the league capable of winning every year(max). Welp its now down to 2 and we already know what the NBA finals will be. Called the Cap Jump sneaky ruining the league a few weeks back and this might have sealed it. Lebron's counter move comes next year when the cap jumps again and Westbrook or whoever he wants goes to Cleveland and that 3rd best team becomes a DISTANT 3rd.

    My instinct is telling me to hate on him but this about where he wants to play basketball for the rest of his career. Organization, players, location, I mean how could he NOT have chosen GS?

    I have to imagine OKC starts to shop Westbrook immediately, no chance he sticks around w/o KD.

    Not sure why people are saying this is way worse than LeBron. LeBron/Wade/Bosh/Riley had been plotting that for awhile and still visited every potential team knowing they had no intentions to sign there. Then announced it on TV and held a rally to say they'd win 6-7 titles.

    That's because, as @TimmyT used to chide me for, I used to never post in the sports sections of these sites at all, except for maybe outside of the playoffs. Growing up in pro sports front offices I kind of had little patience for the level of discussion some fans have (like posting memes that reduce LeBron to a "ring chaser," for example). But that's probably why you didn't see me, lol--except for when I was carrying a portable radio on the school bus in 04, not many deep runs I could log on to gloat about.

    Not sure how you missed all my thousand-word Kevin Love tirades tho lol

    They almost lost to the Thunder and lost to the Cavs, then added a top 3 player in the game. If you were to put a bet on the field winning next year (outside Golden State and Cleveland) it might pay 100-1.

    I get how you guys who are just NBA fans and don't really have teams aren't as effected by this (seeing all those guys on the same team must sound awesome), but for the rest of us (minus the Cavs fans) it kinda takes the fun away. What are we really left to root for? progress and development of our younger players?

    Its tough to tell yourself "well we're only 3 superstars away from competing with the Warriors". I'm over here hyped that my team signed Al freakin Horford yesterday smh...
