Dec 6, 2015 This is a discussion thread for this album, we are discussing the album, f--- off if you can't handle criticism. And even not judging it by standard grunge/garage rock standards, its simply not good. The guitar playing is amateurish and sluggish as he keeps repeating these dull riffs that never go anywhere, they just well... end. Cudi's vocals simply don't fit over these instrumentals as his singing is bad, which can work if it fit the instrumentation (which it doesn't) or his lyrics are good enough to counter his voice, which they don't, as it's a lot of immature writing straight out of a 13 year old's diary. And again, what is this album? You told me it's weird punk rock, but guess what, I absolutely love weird punk rock music and well, SB2H is not that. It's somewhat weird in the context of Cudi's discography, but from the genres its pulling from its not that. It lacks the energy and franticness I love in a lot of punk music, as there's no tension whatsoever. And if you wanna like the album... fine, but I just cannot get it whatsoever.
Dec 6, 2015 chill m8 it's not that big of a deal. but to be fair, cudi is the one trying to pass it off as punk rock, not us. cudi is also the pretentious one, not us. it's cudi who sticks his fingers in his ears and starts screaming like a petulant child whenever anybody tries to criticize his recent music. it's not that we "don't get it" or we want cudi to "not move forward as a creative"--we're just asking for a professional musician to make better music than a self-conflicted 8th grader.
Dec 6, 2015 I understand the album is very bad compared to other albums from the same genre. I know his guitar playing is mediocre and the lyrics are average on some of these tracks. I still enjoy it though.
Dec 6, 2015 this really sums u up. You enjoy the album despite finally realising it is very bad & has average lyrics . Its fans like you which that just stan any music which is released which gives Cudi the idea its okay to release this trash.
Dec 6, 2015 not rly you're just coming in to b---- and s--- on it and Cudi, as usual like i said, feel free to f--- off already great that that's your opinion m8, but that's all it is great don't really care if you can get it, just want you to f--- off already so I can actually discuss the album with people who do
Dec 6, 2015 After several more listens, the title song doesn't seem off sounding like I remember it from before the album leaked. I need waaaaaaaaaaay more time to invest in this album as a whole though, I haven't had a single chance since it's been out to sit and listen to it all front to back. All my listening sessions getting broken up between work and producing.
Dec 6, 2015 i'm assuming disc 1 ends waay before track 26 i need to check where it actually stops so I know.
Dec 6, 2015 Bitching about the album would mean I'm just coming in to say this album sucks, but no, I'm not just saying that. I'm providing reasons why I dislike the album, but you keep ignoring them and don't want to talk about them. So again...
Dec 6, 2015 I'm not ignoring them, they simply aren't relevant, and I've already addressed them. it's great if you're providing reasons you don't like the album and all, but the way in which you've come in here to do so is just extremely a-------ish, and purposefully said in a way to put yourself and your taste above me and anyone else who is actually enjoying the album on any level. for the third time, f--- off already.
Dec 6, 2015 Can't really deny this, but I don't really feel bad about it. And nah, I'll do as I please.
Dec 6, 2015 yeah, makes for great discussion when you're being an unnecessarily difficult and pretentious prick
Dec 6, 2015 It's funny, I woke up this morning, and everything was alright. But I shortly began to realize that Kid Cudi released Speedin' Bullet To Heaven, and the sadness washes over me.
Dec 6, 2015 Watch these two start listening to actual alternative rock/punk rock and see them turn on this album like Batista leaving Evolution.
