They coincide with the frailty of Ye's ego in songs such as Holdy My Liquor or Guilt Trip... to me at least What about the fact Yeezus is aimed to be the black Christian menacing antagonist to middle America much like 2pac was? What about the fact that the production is purposefully leftfield to protest against and light up in the mainstream of trapsounds? Much like the lyrics protest against the mainstream political views of many Americans? What are these influences.. can you give youtube vids? I know jazz is a major component.. it's most likely all thanks to Terrace Martin.. but don't underestimate Kendrick's lyrical and thematic input. AGAIN.. i believe he took a lot of cues from Kanye.. not excluding the fact that they both view themselves as important messengers of black culture in America.. their convo's backstage at the Yeezus tour musta given a lotta food for thought.

Dec 11, 2015 i'm saying the influence is already there... regardless if they met or not.. the thing that explains to me why/how they seem so similar is (i believe) in the fact that they toured together during the period Kendrick was working on the album.

Yeh i believe it's unlike anything DG made.. completely agree and i can't wrap my mind around why people would claim to believe he was inspired by them (apart from the simple act of distorting his music > which isn't a sign of DG influence, like.. AT all!) I actually see your point m8 edit: my point was about TPAB and Yeezus being very similar btw
