    Wait, really?

He’s talking about actual mass shootings being a problem & requiring gun reform in a serious sense.

The other is referencing it in lyrical combat as a form of entertainment. I don’t believe you genuinely think this way, surely? Separating real issues from entertainment is pretty easy to do.

That’s the whole point of MTBMB & he explained it on Instagram. As a collective, society as a whole, we are obsessed with murder, whether it’s through entertainment or actual atrocities, so he is shining a light on it, in both senses. Think about it this way, do you think a director of a horror film that holds parallels to real life killings can’t have a problem with it taking place *in real life*? That seems a bit closed minded to me.

He makes a light of them and references them in a joking matter, then does a song "guns are bad m'kay" and he does it in the same time frame.

Music is art. So Em is art. Like he said in a interview back in Recovery when he called Elton John a c---------, Hip Hop is what Em does, he doesn't need to stop being Slim Shady just cos people cryin out everything he does... Its been like this since '90's. As long as controversy keeps going on Eminem will be relevant. Slim Shady will live forever. People offended should listen to Halsey or Beyonce...

Yeah, either say it if you feel like it or don't if you feel so strongly about it being offensive.

I feel like he is going by Em ignoring Wayne's question about working together on that interview.

Most of this is fair except the "Eminem isn't my thing." that @Koolo said. I disagree. I had the same problem with MMLP2 that I did MTBMB. Zero gems. h---, zero listenable songs. But less than a year later he followed up that atrocity with GOF and Fine Line- two songs that I consider vintage Eminem. There there were a handful of tracks from Revival and Kamikaze I really enjoyed in between MYBMB and I'm sure there will be more on the way that I enjoy(like the Cudi track)

I was just genuinely curious about what people liked in MTBMB because again- not a single redeemable track imo. I don't think it's fair to say he's not my cup of tea just because I think he put out and objectively terrible album.

My take on MTBMB was and still is that it's kinda mid, but the good thing about is the song quality is pretty much the same throughout. It doesn't have really atrocious songs neither it has really good songs.

You’re kinda right. Step Dad is the most atrocious thing I’ve ever heard. Sounds like a parody of an Eminem song.

I agree with the exception of Stepdad. Worst song he's ever made imo. I would go back and listen but I don't want that horrendous hook stuck in my head which it most certainly was for at least 10 days after the first and only time I heard it lol.

Edit- I honest to God didn't see @Tom Brady's post before I made this one:')
