Jul 7, 2016 I think it's less about people overrating him than people not knowing how to talk about him. Lots of kids who grew up on the internet--a group Kodak has finally started to penetrate this year--are taught to think/talk about rap in old dusty/backpack ways. So they can explain in reasonable terms why they think Aesop Rock is good, but when they come across a street rapper they recognize deep down is very good, their fingers seize up and all they know how to type is "amazing."
Jul 7, 2016 No totally, I agree, I'm just using him as an example. It's why kids on Reddit who like Logic and Young Thug have a way easier time talking to each other about Logic.
Jul 7, 2016 it's good but i stopped listening to it pretty much. i'll probably cycle back to it later but i'm kind of off rap for a bit.
Jul 7, 2016 Yeah I think it's incredible. I'd actually take the (I assume) minority view and say that it's his best all-around tape.
Jul 7, 2016 this is pretty good even if its not my cup of tea. I've got a decent amount of replay value out of it. never heard of the guy before
Jul 7, 2016 He may take a little of getting used to honestly. If you liked this tape, check out Heart of the Projects
