Dec 18, 2017 Was this album released after the Grammy deadline so he is a contender for 2018? I really like the album but looking at the criticism he won't win if d--- is there as well
Dec 18, 2017 His early albums were always considered great. I think most critics gave them a great score too. The reason some people critized them was because of how violent or homophobic they were, not because they were bad. Revival is just bad, and it was reviewed as such.
Dec 18, 2017 I get it's hard to please everyone. But instead of trying to please everyone, Eminem should have concentrated on making a cohesive album. There will always be people that will dislike your work, you can't please everyone. But there are more chances people will like your work if you do something you like instead of doing something trying to please everyone. For example, Recovery did great, most critics gave it a good score. There were some fans who didn't like the "pop" direction but it was an album that made sense, it had a theme and a purpose and because of that it was well received. Unlike the mess Revival is. You can like Revival, it's fine. But don't pretend it's not a bad overall album because you personally like it.
Dec 18, 2017 Now it's being s--- on because the writers are not thrilled about one or two immature punch lines on the album. What's your point here? Yes, 1.7 million is incredible, even though it was in the pre-iTunes/Spotify/Amazon era. I don't see how you can compare the sales of MMLP, which came out one year after SSLP in the wake of the SSLP hype train, to Revival. I also don't know what the point of your argument is here. Bottom line - your post stating things like, "Some of the songs on this album are so good it kind of depresses me. I almost wish this album were as bad as the critics are saying it is" just makes you out to be a sheep. Why do you care how it is being critically received? Don't you understand why critics s--- on albums that are hyped? It's just another form of the sensationalism you see in mainstream media. In any case, why on earth would that make you depressed or enjoy the album any less? Maybe just... stop reading reviews? LOL
Dec 18, 2017 you can reverse this too. not saying it's a great album but: You an hate Revival, it's fine. But don't pretend it's not a good overall album because you personally dislike it.
Dec 18, 2017 ill agree with everything on your great review but untouchable. its a 7 for me, good replay value
Dec 18, 2017 You don't get it do you? What I mean is try listening to the album as your average listener. Pretend the album just popped on the radio and you didn't know who the f--- Eminem was. Not as a huge biased Eminem fan.
Dec 18, 2017 You don't get it do you? What I mean is you have your opinion and you're hopping all over trying to say that your opinion is certified fact. As if your opinion matters more than anyone else's. I bet I hate your favorite artists' music, too.
Dec 18, 2017 Man, finally been bumping the brockhampton project it's so f---ing good. Saturation 3 >>>>>>>>revival Everyone needs to check it out
Dec 18, 2017 Koolo presents help my website is centered around Eminem what should we do oh yeah tell them the terrible album is good that'll make them stay ft. EminemSXN
Dec 18, 2017 Well here's a better example. It's like watching a "s-----y" movie you enjoy. Like you know the movie is terribly made but you find it hilarious. That is your opinion. Same thing for Revival. You might like it, but by music standards it's bad.
Dec 18, 2017 You just listened to a 40 year old man b---- about mumble rap and donald trump for an hour, sit back
