Jul 11, 2016 @Koolo Lakers aren't good, and aren't going to be good for another year or two, but they're maybe the most storied franchise in league history. It actually might be kinda fun to join the bandwagon while they're bottoming out and accumulating talent. I'm a Timberwolves fan because I'm from Minnesota, and people are right for telling you they're a good pick. We have back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners, each of whom will by a top-ten player in the league by the end of 2017, and more young talent on the roster/on the way. Don't pull for the Warriors, that would be lame as f---. The Cavs are way more likable but hopping on with the defending champs is lame, too. If you want a team that's probably going to be very good this year, but isn't a cliche pick, go with the Indiana Pacers or the Utah Jazz. Other teams that could end up being competitive in 2016-17 and would be good picks: Oklahoma City, Portland, Charlotte. Boston is lame as f---, don't cheer for the Celtics. Same can unfortunately be said for the Clippers right now, because they're running their franchise as stupidly as you could run one with that much talent. The Knicks will be an absolute mess, so steer clear. Don't cheer for Atlanta because Dwight Howard went there. Don't cheer for Houston because James Harden is staying there. Honestly, no one will really knock you for picking the Spurs.
Jul 12, 2016 Good pick. They have two potential franchise players (aka potential best players in the league) in D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram. It'll be a long journey but they will be back in the contending scene in about 3-4 years, dependent on the development of the two aforementioned players.
