I think he said that because of this "The way Em is able to combine and create mufti-syllable rhymes and keep the same rhyme scheme throughout a song like a poet is really incredible." from the previous page :dno:

No I agree with that. But I did say in their prime. Idk it's just some people talk about eminem like he was always the artiest he is today, which couldn't be further from true

Who the f--- is Lady Luck?

And how can someone openly agree with her? (even IF she was right) I would distance my opinions from that ghetto-trash of a human, even IF I agreed. I don't though, thankfully. I actually feel better about myself IRL knowing I don't share the same opinions as a fitted hat wearing 40 year old woman. 0 class. absolute social f---ing reject.

I read half the thread and saw that's where it was going. People focusing on em's ability to put words that rhyme together, while ignoring every other aspect of the conversation. I would've thought em stans would be desensitized to that kind of criticism by now, but i guess not.

yeah, i agree. poor choice of words on my part maybe. Even still though, that is a main focus of stans even when em was in his prime. Not saying that eminem didn't have any other great qualities as a rapper (obviously he did), but that is always one of the main points of discussion when an average stan is trying to prove why em is the best. My guess is that it's because eminem is an easy transition into hip hop for people that aren't into hip hop or havent been into hip hop for a long time, and with technical rap ability being the most elementary and apparent ability that comes across that's an easy argument to make.

Well people who still claim he's a good artist or even near the level he once was are in some form of denial. If we're speaking technical ability sure he's still at the top of the game. Hope your not calling me a Stan? Lol seeing as how I've only criticized 90 percent of his work post hiatus.

im not throwing your argument away. you said em has many other qualities other than his technical rap ability which I agreed to. My point was that some people ignore his many other qualities and focus on just that one thing. which explains why a lot of them are still "stans".

In their primes, a case could be made either way.

both of biggie's albums are better than anything em did, by pretty comfortable margins. their best, like, radio freestyles etc are comparable, sure.

Good deal lol just makin sure! But I agree the tech aspect is fun sometimes but eminem and his current fans really get way too caught up in. What made him great was how well rounded he was

Are you saying that correlates with lyrical talent? Having a strong discography? Eminem never had a nack for putting together an album. I don't that's very relevant to the topic at hand. I kind of obscured it with that thing about RTD so that's partly my fault.

Their talent for expressing ideas through rhyming and manipulating language were both great and for entirely different reasons, but the common ground of narratives is a pretty well defined subset to look at. Stan, Brain Damage, n----s Bleed, I Got a Story To Tell... Saying either one has a clear advantage feels like splitting hairs to me.

Biggie was fat and he rapped about selling drugs, horrible role model. Eminem raps about his feelings, overcoming addiction, and his love for his family.

That's part of the road to Recovery, admitting you have a problem. All Biggie did was hang out with a bunch of pedophile murderers.
