really behind on movies. Just saw Snowpiercer 7/10

Also don't hate but I finally just saw the first 2 LOTR movies. I know I'm way behind I just never got around to watching them. As time went on I just lost interest in them especially considering how long they are. But with the new Hobbit movie out and s--- I figured I'd give them a try. Watched Fellowship and two towers. f---ing fantastic. Will watch the 3rd next week. Then on to the Hobbit movies.

I went to see The Gambler at the cinema... Didn't like it.

Then came home and watched God's Pocket and was pleasantly surprised.

haven't posted in here in awhile..

There’s nothing like the glow of a truly great film--and this is Anderson's 'boy with apple' masterpiece. The film, much like the 'hotel' it's self..once the doors are open..you have been broken through, to another world. I don't have to say much about the film, that the true Film buff's, & Wes Anderson fans, don't already know. The film is remarkable, and I can constatly view it over & over again.. it's just that good..10/10

I haven't watched an animated film in awhile.. even though I own this bluray, I've only seen it twice--including earlier today. The Hype for Frozen is ridiculous.. Brave should've gotten that praise, but sadly it didn't.. which is a shame..it deserves so much more. This film is much better in many aspects than Frozen.. although some people can compare all these Disney films, and "princesses" to each other but Merida (main character) is different than the latter.
This film easily conquers 'Frozen' and breaks Disney's "stereotypes".. With Toy Story being Pixar's grand achievement, Brave should be and will be spoken just as highly in the future..but sadly along with Frozen as well.. 8.6/10

    Inherent Vice
    8.5/10

Loved it. The 70's feeling was done really well and Joaquin Phoenix was great as usual. Also that soundtrack, whew.

    Rocky IV last night

Last one in theaters was the Hobbit, which I actually liked despite all the hate it's been getting. Was never a huge fan of the series, but this one was probably my favorite.

      Big Eyes 2014
      ★★½ Watched 09 Jan, 2015

Character deconstruction in place of development, pandering narration, thematic contradictions, and a bland formal design. It's greatest strength is in its mise-en-scene, colours and costumes which accurately evoke the period. Not enough.

      50/100 - Mediocre

A whimsical, precisely laid exploration of the attractions between people and how this energy guides one along planes of serendipity and chance.

Overly sentimental. Strong acting with brief moments of beauty and inspiration. Flawed in its need to please
