Inherent Vice a couple of days.. Like most, I experienced the sense of directionless but couldn't stop watching. I'm gonna watch it again before I solidify an opinion, but I really liked it on first view.

The dead girl, really well done movie split into 5 different sections each told from someone's point of view finally ending with the dead girl. I'm kinda a sucker for movies like this where you gotta piece it all together from 3-5 parts or whatever, plus it was well done I thought. Not a ton of action but good story.

One of my favorite Noirs of all time..and an absolute essential part of the genre. Gloria Grahame plays the Femme Fatale quite well, and she's gorgeous in this.. 9.4/10

Watched this last night, probably one of, if not my favorite Denzel film. One of my favorite films in general, and I had to watch it in Black and White..to fit the film noir tone of it...it works well, (thanks to the VLC color settings) Jennifer Beals looks amazing, and plays a defining Femme Fatale.. overall great film, and gets better with each watch.. 9.2/10

      ★★★★ Watched 10 May, 2015

A compelling, sensorial visual design tracks dream, life, nostalgia, pain, fear, and death without conceptualization.

      83/100 - Great.

Far from the Madding Crowd 2015
      ★★★½ Watched 08 May, 2015

      Review for Next Projection:

      nextprojection.com/2015/05/10/far-madding-crowd-review/

76/100 - With its picturesque beauty and its affable characters, Far From the Madding Crowd uses convention and predictability in a positive manner to make a film that is not only very well crafted, but very easy to like.

      Never Back Down 2008

Can't quite hate it for getting everything right about everything that's wrong in the 2000s.. except smartphones.

      Summer with Monika 1953
      ★★★½ Watched 07 May, 2015

A thoughtful, though somewhat clumsy, telling of young love, passion, and its transient nature.

      The Road to Bresson 1984
      ★★★★ Watched 07 May, 2015

A solid documentary profiling the enigmatic auteur, Robert Bresson. Some wonderful interview footage with Bresson, Tarkovsky, Malle etc., and an amazing moment where two of my favourite directors, Tarkovsky and Bresson, share a round of applause after humbling accepting their Best Director awards at Cannes 1993.

      80/100 - Great

      Best of the Best 1989
      ★★★½ Rewatched 06 May, 2015

One of the best speeches in sports cinema:

"To save a life, in defeat, is to earn victory and honour within. Your brother, too, was a great fighter. I deeply regret your loss and offer myself as your brother"

Classic from my childhood, despite its theatrical flaws.

      73/100 - Very Good

Watched Fargo last night with my girlfriend. Didn't really care for it when I first watched it about 10 years ago but my tastes have definitely improved since then. Great movie

Not a movie, more of a documentary but this was incredible. Kurt Cobain was so complicated and different than everyone else, yet he was relatable. I recommend giving this a watch.

It Follows - I saw this a few weeks ago and it was incredible. I have nothing bad at all to say about it. 9.5 / 10

Boyhood - another incredible film, can't believe it took me this long to watch it. I have nothing negative to say about this one, either. I was sad it ended though, I would have loved more. 10 / 10

@Koolo any chance we can sticky this thread? It's a lot more active than the new trailers thread and it's something people will keep coming back to post in.

*edit* Wow that was quick, thanks man. :emoji_thumbsup:
