    I don't. They only spend on booze and drugs anyway.

    I prefer to give them hot food.

    So is a new job, house, car, girlfriend, everything. Giving them "hot food" instead of cash is still just providing them with temporary happiness. Why not give them the freedom to pick what form of temporary happiness they'd prefer?

    Well its what they live for. They don't want hot food. They have food stamps, they are just chasing happiness and thats the path many will remain on until they die.

    i dont give money to people on principal but if i did dirty just nailed it on the head as to what my policy would be :wow2:

    Few months ago I had to do community service as part of my probation out in town at a public library. It was just raking leaves, weeding gardens, etc. There was a homeless dude would sit out on the steps for hours every day I was there. Took him out for lunch 3 times that week, good guy rough life, it's sad.

    I don't really like giving just money because who knows where it goes, have no problem with giving food though.

    Yes it did. My legacy on these forums was really all I had. I kept this in mind when I thought about giving up and knew you guys were here waiting for me, and for that I am grateful.

    homeless people come from every walk of life I & sometimes its a scam either way the basics I agree with food air water shelter cloths from there. It's all personal

    Agreed. No one has an obligation to help anyone else. People who give to the homeless aren't morally superior to those who don't. I give to the homeless (sometimes, not every time obviously) not because I think the action is inherently right and not giving to the homeless is wrong but because giving to the homeless makes me feel better than not giving to the homeless - which the same principle that guides literally any action anyone ever does. So it doesn't make sense to say anyone who doesn't give to charity is wrong (or that anyone who does is "good").

    In front of the supermarket sits a guy everyday. He sells the 'homeless paper' (literally translated) and makes music.

    But, on his break he sits in the supermarket drinking coffee playing games on his Iphone and at the end of every day he gets picked up by a huge mercedes. Like wtf lol
