yea i didnt see anyone post it so far in this thread but i did see it elsewhere. i just think its dumb to point fingers after the fact. she might have given him the pill (if that is true) but he would have gotten a bad xan at some point somewhere at the rate he's going. it seems pointless to point the frustration that he's dead at her. i'm sure if she really did sell him the xan then a) she's probably feeling more than guilty enough right now and b) she'll have her day in court so i dont see the point in spreading her name and twitter campaigning against her

I actually posted that article as I was reading it before I got to that part, and I agree with you for the most part. Though I think I understand what the author was getting at, I don't like how she worded it, because I think it definitely is the time to have a conversation about drugs, just not in the reprimand-y way that many people approach it. Obviously there are way too many factors that go into the opioid/general drug epidemic to create a cure-all solution in a forum post, but I hope that with Prince dying because he bought a black market vicodin that was cut with fentanyl and that most likely being the case with Peep and fake Xanax would help bring to light to the powers that be that addicts are going to do drugs until they drop dead or decide they don't want to anymore.

We're SO far away from this in the USA, but I hope in my lifetime I'll be able to see a country where addicts could "register" with the the government to get a license to able to safely purchase drugs that aren't cut with a substance that can k--- you in MICROgram amounts. Also, real harm-reduction information along with knowing the dangers of addiction so if people do decide to do drugs they know how to do them as safely as possible. I live in Washington and my old roommate used to sell weed. He was out of business within a year of the first shops opening even with them being more expensive (they've since gotten cheaper). Obviously weed =/= pills, but I think it's interesting to note how fast the black market disappeared once it was government regulated.

I'm honestly torn on the glorification of drugs in music thing. Even if Future and Peep rap about how drugs are ruining their life, a hit song is a hit song, and people get f----- up to hit songs. Even Kendrick Lamar's anti-alcohol song "Swimming Pools" was played everywhere at bars and parties when I was in college. Some people are attracted to that "live like a rockstar, die like a rockstar" lifestyle. Like you said, though, I hope this is a wake up call to people that shows not even someone as legendary as Prince is immune to ODing, nor is someone like Peep who abused drugs daily. All it takes is one bad pill or one bad decision.

What do you do for a living btw, if you don't mind me asking?

    man who gives a s---
like what is doxing this girl going to do
im sure she didnt willingly go to a famous rapper that she's a fan of and knowingly hand him a fent pill
if this is real (and from what i've seen the only source for this is an anonymous ex boyfriend of hers which i wouldn't call condemning) then she's probably just some stupid girl with some bad pills. really cringe at the idea of bandwagon hating on some girl because her ex boyfriend anonymously said that she gave him bad xans in the past.

In a way I see it as his grand stunt like this was what everything was purposely leading too. He was obviously very outspoken about his view on life and his disregard of ever being old. "Get cake die young" his tatted on his forehead after all. I don't think he said OK I'm gonna die today he didn't know the bars were pressed wrong but as someone who use to push my own limits and be in a self destructive place mentally the fear of death didn't exist. I was hesitant of taking my own life via a bullet or a ledge because it felt unfair to those around me but an OD always seemed more "innocent" like I wasn't at fault for it it was my drug use and people would cope better with that.

This is really an immortalizing moment this bring back vibes of band members ODing on heroin in their 20s. We all die, living to be 21 or 81 is irrelevant to me it's more so what impact you leave on the world. Everything that Lil Peep was as an artist the drug use and death romanticizing resulting in this is sadly....iconic...

Teens in 20 years will be idolizing Lil Peep the crazy tattoos and lifestyle crashing and burning 2 weeks after his 21st birthday just as our generation has our Cobain's and Curtis's

d---. I had never listened to him before but saw the news all over my TL on Twitter & Facebook.
I put his music on in the background as I was going through this thread & I must say, I wish I would have f----- with him earlier.

I LOVE his sound. not like anything I've heard in a long time. s---, this is sad as f---. especially so young..
also stumbled upon the video of him potentially dead in the back of the tour bus. what the f---, f----- me up.

    R.I.P. Peep.

no, you're just strawmanning what I said to you and skipping the part where I think it's lame to joke about death like that. I was just providing an explanation as to why more people joke about Linkin Park, not saying it's funny or OK.

You're also similarly being rude to Peep by making this about someone else and getting mad that people don't like others joking about his death just because you weren't a fan of him, which is exactly why people made lame jokes about Chester's death.

Saw the video of him overdosing in the back of the tour bus. His best friend is an idiot, you can clearly tell something is wrong. What a toxic group, they could have possibly saved him.

There's been a lot of lgbt rappers, and probably even more that haven't come out.

Frank Ocean and Azalea Banks are both bi.
