he's not! there are white rappers i like much more than slug, too. as a rule, i don't like many--they tend to be corny and make the kind of music i find most insufferable--but there are definitely a handful of good, even great white rappers. lil dicky is just an unfunny bigot, to me. i don't understand how anyone can make it through a single song without turning it off and/or writing their congressman.

Lol at having GWA as Wayne's 4th best album.. lol..........

Wayne is not by any means back in full form.

One of my favorite Wayne tracks here though

I remember the first time I heard Wayne in 2011 or 2010 I think. I got into hip-hop way late. Carter IV his first album I heard and Dedication 3 or S4TW was the first mixtape I heard. Man loved him instantly. One of his best song has to be Hustler Musik :banderas:

when it comes to whether he was really, really good at one point, it all depends on who you ask. i know plenty of people who would say he was never that great at any point of his career. wayne's popularity did a lot for him, though.

i'm not a wayne hater, i like a number of his songs, especially dr. carter, which i thought was creative and well executed. i just never saw him as being special or exceptional, that's all

Do those plenty of people even listen to rap other than the radio im talking listen to full albums, cause the difference I've seen is if I ask someone who doesn't really listen to rap they might say that might

And if I ask someone who is deep in the culture they'll say is a goat either for his impact or his music

In his prime wayne was pretty incredible, but unfortunately that never really translated into a classic album. I've always viewed him as an extremely talented rapper that never really concerned himself with the process of crafting together an album. it's not really a bad thing but he's pretty much the complete opposite of kanye.

wayne's greatness is a point of consensus for everyone except hyper-conservatives, card-carrying backpackers, and eminem fans.

timmy, i know you're an "EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE!!!!" type, but this is flat wrong. he's one of the greatest to ever do it, and that's pretty f---ing tough to dispute. dr. carter wouldn't be in his top 100 songs.

this is mostly true, but the first two carters are very close to being masterpieces, as is Like Father, Like Son. wayne's best solo work is Dedication 2, Da Drought 3, and the leaks that were compiled as the carter 3 sessions.

yeah, they've listened to his full albums and even some of his mixtapes.

again, i'm not in any way claiming he doesn't have good material, he does, i just don't think most would have him in any all-time great rapper discussion, that's all.

Biggie is only loved because he died, that is a fact. Wayne spent more time and had more projetcts that were better than all of Biggie's.
