Sorry man I'm about to take off and I don't have time to respond completely in depth today but I'd really start focusing on weight training. With where you're at, building lean muscle would be far more advantageous for fat loss than cardio(though you should definitely be doing some cardio)

As for what you eat I think you should be hitting right around 2100 calories per day broken into around 80 grams of Fat, 220 grams of protein and 125 carbs(With at least 40 coming from fiber) per day.

Download the app myfitnesspal and plug those numbers in. From there you can enter what you're eating and see how far off you are and try and target those numbers. If you were to hit those numbers you'd drop fat insanely fast.

Play around with the app if you get the chance and I'll be glad to get back to you in depth tomorrow.

I used to be VERY misinformed when it came to anything fitness. Believing s--- i read on bodybuilding forums, and random articles i found on the internet. I used to live by the small meals throughout the day thing, until i found out it doesnt really matter if your calorie intake is the same. Only way i see it helping now is if you're apt to overeat. small meals help you plan out what you're going to eat as opposed to three large meals where you might get too hungry and stuff your face resulting in more calories consumed. But anyways
Hope you don't mind me adding on to what @M Solo said, but i just wanted to make a point on you saying you don't care for building muscle. If by this you mean you dont want to B*** up, dont worry you don't. To B*** up you need to be at a significant calorie surplus, whichc if youre trying to lose weight you won't be. Weight lifting from what i have seen is very beneficial to fat loss. Only reason i wanted to point this out is because i had a coworker that had a weird fear of lifting weights because he didnt want to be muscular he just wanted to lose weight. Hope this helps, and hope what a wrote is m solo approved and i wont get ethered.:ohno:

Nah that makes perfect sense, and I think that's what @M Solo meant by building lean muscle (correct me if I'm wrong)

As you said, you can't B*** up if you maintain the calorie deficit -- I never thought of it that way but it makes sense

Lol love how I'm posting in here while decided to skip the gym today cause I'm a horrible person

Gotta get my s--- together (In my defense, I'm just watching college basketball while waiting for my 10PM shift at work to start -- that s--- only made me wanna smoke weed until work)

Although the minute I take a day off it feels like I'm back to square one, I love the energy I get/just how I feel in general when I go regularly

Yeah exactly. I just felt like emphasising that since it's a pretty common misconception. Good luck on your goals bro

While that publication is nicely worded, it doesn't even mention the detriment on gut microbiome, which was what my article was about. Caloric and carbohydrates are not the issue with weight-loss and NAS. They decrease the efficiency of your glucose metabolism. Mind you, it depends on your own gut microbiome and metabolic balance.

Combo of both. Always looking to lose weight. I'm only 5'8 so my weight needs to be pretty low to have a healthy BMI (if you even consider that stat valid) however I was gearing up to buy life insurance and that's what those companies go by. But mostly I recognized all my gains in the gym or with running were always erased by overdoing the carbs. I had to acknowledge I was addicted to them a like an addict. Bread, cookies, pizza, any kind of pasta, etc.... THEN look at sugar. It's enough to make you want to give up when you see how many things have sugar or sweeteners added to them.

Since then I based all my meals around a meat like I was back in caveman era, salads all the time - and since i'm a stubborn SOB, I prevailed. I went from 182 to 166. The weight is really just a side effect. When you put in a couple of strong clean weeks in and then splurge a little. The next few days you will feel like s--- and strive to eat clean again.

When you store a carb it stores a certain amount of water with it. When you flush your body of carbs, you lose all that water weight - makes you look a lot more cut.
