Apr 13, 2015 @Perry The Platypus told me to check this out. Really good album. It has really good cross appeal IMO. The country rap thing really comes through strong here. Most of the songs I can't totally vibe to.
Apr 13, 2015 Ive been a Yela fan for a while. It don't suprise me that people are enjoyin his album. Still havent listen to it yet, cant wait till im home..
Apr 13, 2015 i explained in great detail why i didn't like kendrick's record. @Michael Myers my actual job is to listen to music, lol. of course i've been listening to it for a week.
Apr 13, 2015 I'm glad you took the time to download the album, listen to it in its entirety and then come to this in depth conclusion so we can all know how to think. Thank you.
Apr 13, 2015 jesus christ you guys are so f---ing touchy. i was genuinely surprised, i never said that was, like, a full review. why would i review a yelawolf record? but let me expand: i am surprised yelawolf fans like this record, because i remember after my first few listens thinking that it's the kind of album that will probably appeal first and foremost to people who aren't really rap fans and are being hooked in for the first time with love story. i think it lacks most of the levity that balanced out his cheesiness on trunk muzik; there's also a little of the blinders-on-technician streak that eminem has going now, where there are passages that are technical and impressive in that regard, but are really only exercises.
Apr 13, 2015 What do you like/dislike about it? I just heard it once and I like it but I don't know how it will hold up after more listens.
Apr 13, 2015 I think my only real complaint is that the album feels pretty much the same from start to finish. The final track is so crazy, it reminds me that there is a whole other side to Yelawolf, not just the smooth country side.
Apr 13, 2015 So much better, now we know what you actually mean. Thanks Im not getting touchy, I like when people explain things and discuss. From the first post, saying his first mixtape (which was very amateur and mostly terribly put together )is better then fully greatly produced album with actual records company helping him.
