Dec 27, 2017 I think even though particularly don’t like LTWYL I still think it is the most cohesive out of the three so I would say LTWYL River The Monster The Monster was executed terribly
Dec 27, 2017 LTWYL was incredibly inspired, it had the interesting concept of tackling domestic abuse from both sides which isn't done much, and actually used the hook to verse structure to it's advantage, Rihanna isn't just on the song to have a pop singer on it, she plays a whole other character in the story and that's without bringing her history with chris into it The monster was a cheap attempt at recapturing it, generic fame related song eminem's done a million times (go listen to say goodbye to Hollywood instead) and absolutely no purpose for a rih ft besides pop appeal, but at least it's a competent sounding song River is the tiniest bit more inspired with the whole abortion thing but ems storytelling skills are no where near ltwyl on this and he doesn't have much to say about the subject other than being regretful unlike ltwyl which is a full exploration of abuse, also the song is really rough on the ears besides ed... Tl;dr ltwyl>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the monster > river
Dec 27, 2017 LTWYL > The Monster > River No problem with Ed on it, I just can’t stand Ems flow on it, ruins it for me.
Dec 28, 2017 1).River (Well, that's how you make a pop song, a quality hook from an amazing artist. ) 2).The Monster (Slaps more harder tho, can't get the point of the hook tho, verses were solid) 3).Love The Way You Lie(After being replayed like a mothafucka since the album came out in 2010, it just sounds ehhh rn. I liked it when it came out, not gonna lie.)
Dec 28, 2017 monster>river>ltwyl ltwyl was special and huge because it was the first time he does something like that, then it became ur average em song
Dec 28, 2017 Me personally it goes River, LTWYL, Monster.. But there’s no denying how big a hit LTWYL was.. Which I think actually f----- up Eminems approach to things now.. It was such a big hit now he feels like he needs the woman hook to make big hits and that’s why we keep getting so many cuz he thinks that’s what people like to hear.. Now it’s the same s--- over and over again.. Hooefully he realizes he over did it with this last album and goes back to producing and making his own hooks.. I mean s--- Believe he produced and it’s a consensus top track on the album.. Framed is dope as h--- and he does the hook.. In Your Head is a sample and Castle isn’t the typical chick hook so those are ok and r obviously top tracks.. If he does produce most of the next album and does almost every hook I guarantee it will be the best album since TES
Dec 28, 2017 LTWYL love it or hate it was a pop/rap song that worked The Monster was a pop/rap song that didn’t work at all
