Jul 9, 2015 Question fitness fam: Is it more beneficial to lift chest, shoulders, and triceps one day, then back, biceps on a different day, or keep chest and back together, and arms together? I've heard conflicting opinions about both theroies, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Jul 14, 2015 Doesn't matter, long as you're training with intensity , just depends which one you feel more comfortable with and can physically handle.
Jul 15, 2015 I'm hoping them twins are getting money for the "gains" phenomenon that's happening with the new generation of Gym Rats. I know they have their own line of supplements pre and post workouts Crea-Gains and Pre-Gains lol
Jul 15, 2015 Hodgetwins are hilarious! Starting watching Chris Jones a bit recently, dude is funny to, haven't watched matt ogus but always mired his physique. I seem to follow the less famous /smaller youtubers now though and more strength based people. Also shout out for having Helen Flanagan as your avi, i've been in love with that girl for years.
Jul 15, 2015 Bought gansta wraps for 50 dollars used them for 2-3 weeks. Looked in my bag today and only one was in there....so f---ing pissed wtf am I going to do with one wrap
Jul 15, 2015 Chris Jones is the man. He knows what he's talking about and he's smart too. Knows how to market himself. What other Youtubers you watch?
Jul 16, 2015 What's good Youtube you know who it is. Yeah he's got a lot of charisma and he brings a different type of personality to fitness compared to other youtubers. Honestly the channels I follow are more based on strength, I barely watch body-building videos or type channels anymore, but to name a few.....for powerlifitng/strength based channels. - omarlsuf [Good all around channel, go subscribe if you don't know him] - - canditotraining [This is another must have subscription imo] - clarence0 - supertraining06 - Kevin Bui - Bart Kwan - Tom martin For bodybuilding type channels - Scott Herman - Humerousfitness - You might like Christian Guzman, he can be okay sometimes but kinda cringe. For lulz - Brosciencelife I really should follow more Bodybuilding channels so hit me up with the best ones in your opinion as I'm out of the loop a bit.
Jul 20, 2015 J cole gods gift goes hard in the gym. I made a post kinda recent saying how I was struggling to improve squat and now it's starting to s---t up, should be able to squat 4 plates very soon. The two things I've noticed that have helped me is - Better bar placement, I was stupidly placing it almost on my neck/top of spine but now I balance it on my rear delts. Make sure my position is tight as fu-, arms against lats, breath in and tighten my core. Also slightly leaning forward so I'm using more of my back on the way up. Just working completely on my setup has helped - Paused ATG squats. Pause for a few seconds as low as you can, usually do low reps for these so like sets of 3s. Started squatting twice a week from today so that should help aswell. Just my input if anyone out there is struggling.
Jul 20, 2015 f--- bicep and tricep workouts. Don't waste your energy on them, unless you literally just want a pump up before going out lol. If you do a 1 set rest routine then do 3 leg exercises, 2 chest, 2 back and 1 shoulder. If you go with supersets choose 2 muscle groups and do a three day split. For example right now I'm doing 4 Sets each, 1 minute rest between sets. Day 1: Chest & Back Supersets Day 2: Legs and Shoulder Supersets Day 3: Cardio Day 4: Rest/light activity Repeat. I also pyramid my weight up on successive sets. So for example with bench & a cable row it'd look like this: Set 1: Bench Press - 205/10 reps & Cable Row - 200/ 10 reps Set 2: Bench Press - 225 / 9 reps & Cable Row - 220/ 8 reps Set 3: Bench Press - 245 / 4-5 reps & Cable Row - 240 / 7-8 reps Set 4: Bench Press 255 / 3-5 reps & Cable Row - 240 - 7/8 reps. With legs and shoulders I'd suggest doing more multi joint exercises with your sets. For example: Back BB Squat, Front BB Squat, Deadlifts, Leg Press, Sprinter Kickback. Definitely hit those more than single joint exercises like quad extensions and hamstring curls. There's the debate of doing squats & deadlifts in the same workout. If you're not going for a 1-5 strength training set where you're trying to maximally lift your heaviest it is fine to do. If you ARE going for your heaviest lifts with one of these then maybe do a heavy squat with a light deadlift, then next time a light squat with a heavy deadlift.
Jul 20, 2015 I've been waking up at 5:30 every morning to go to the gym, I work out for two hours, and go home to fall back asleep/chill for a few hours before my usual 2PM Shift starts That's basically my routine, and I'm in love with it
Jul 20, 2015 I'm pretty lucky to have very good genetics tbh, but I'd say the most important thing that got me to where I am is my diet. I track every calorie that I eat, and it's not hard for me to restrict calories or anything.
Jul 20, 2015 I used to hate it with a passion, I still kinda do; I've only been doing this regimen for two weeks But not sleeping in and making more of the day is a huge confidence booster, i feel like i've gotten more achieved The dedication is worth it
Jul 20, 2015 I usually mix it up But this is my schedule for this week - Today was cardio Tommorow I'm focusing on arm workouts Wednesday is cardio Thursday is leg day Friday is my last day of cardio for that week I usually play like 25-40 minutes of basketball each day as well
