Dec 10, 2015 Did you need surgery? How was the recovery? My s--- shoulda been fixed a long time ago but my insurance kinda f----- me over. I had an X-Ray done and they told me to take a couple of weeks off, so I did. I never go to the doctor so I'm telling these b------s that I know somethings wrong. Insurance didn't wanna do MRI so they prescribed me 3 months of physical therapy and the therapist tells me my tendons are inflamed and I just gotta work on building leg muscle, which I admit, I did. I get stronger but Im still in pain when I run so I finally get the MRI, bursitis and vertical tear in the outer rim of my medial meniscus. So this whole time I was doing leg press and other weights at PT with a torn meniscus Get sent to a sports medicine doctor who tells me nothings wrong and to just lay off the weights for a month. That was back in September, still feel like crap. I'm always sore and can't even hop without my s--- flaring up. Finally got an appointment with a surgeon in NYC on the 16th. Hopefully he'll fix my s--- so I can get back out there. Running was/is life bruh I kinda went into mini depression these past few months, let my grades slip in college and stopped watching what I ate, I just wanna get back out there =/ This was the last race I ran injury free I'm 34
Dec 10, 2015 d---. US woat. Na i didn't surgery. Had an MRI done immediately. Just went physiotherapy for a few months and it was all good. All at no cost to me of course. those times. Not bad for an old man.
Dec 10, 2015 Old dudes ain't no joke though. Out of the few races I ran, most top place winners are in their late 20s, or 40s/50s. Early 20s is easy to place high in cause I guess everyone's too busy with school and the 30s sucks from what I've seen cause I guess they're all busy being dads or something.
Dec 10, 2015 In all honesty man I had never heard of what you mentioned so I googled it and quickly realized I knew nothing about the condition. Sorry man I wish I could help. Oh hey Trent! No steroids for me just hard work and discipline!
Dec 11, 2015 Not really sure where to post this or if anybody has had anything like this happen to them also but on my runs I've been spitting/ throwing up black stuff. On my last run I had what I though was some random bits of food come up and sit at the sides of my mouth, managed to get it out and it was actually something that looked like I had been eating pleather =/ I'm testing things out, trying to eliminate what it could be. Doing my normal morning routine and it's pretty bad, went for a run without a morning coffee, still spitting up, didnt drink protein before hand, still spitting up. The next thing to try is not eating before my run but I'm doing a decent distance and dont really like the idea of doing it on an empty stomach but I'm just not sure what to do =/ I feel ill when I feel it coming up, it throws my running off to be throwing up and moving at the same time (plus the risk of spitting it all back onto myself), it turns into that horrible acidic spew which isn't pleasant. Anybody had this before or any ideas? @Nori @Loyalty @M Solo
Dec 13, 2015 I'd say about an hour or two. I'll usually have my protein shake about 15 - 30mins beforehand.
Jan 5, 2016 @M Solo or anyone else with experience, how do you feel about doing legs twice a week? Is it sustainable long term, or am I gonna burn out eventually? I've been doing them about 3-4 days apart for the last 3 weeks or so. On one day I focus on core workouts like squats, calf raises, leg curls/extensions, then on the 2nd day more of a plyo routine with weighted jump squats, lunges, box jumps, etc.
Jan 5, 2016 Appreciate it. Gonna try and stick to this routine and hopefully dunk before summer. I've gotten close but I've just barely been able to throw down volleyballs.
Jan 20, 2016 Just started fitness modeling & so far it's going good. 3 shoots done & 2 more next week.
Jan 21, 2016 I'm doing shoots with photographers that post the pics on their sites and social media for now. I'm somewhat new to it so I'm building a port for myself to eventually send to agencies.
Jan 21, 2016 It doesn't work that way my man. You need to hit up the magazines/sites yourself. If they want you they'll put you in thier magazine or ok their website. Save yourself the time and money and fo the networking yourself. Also, focus on building your social media following. The bigger the following the more likely you'll be used. It sucks but that plays a huge role. Anyhow best of luck and if you need any advice hit me up.
Jan 21, 2016 You know I've thought about posting those here but really don't want something I've said over the years(where more often than not my tongue was planted firmly in cheek) to come back and haunt me. My following is garbage though I only have like 800 IG followers and I just made a FB. I'm lucky I've done what I've done in my industry but not having a following is starting to close doors for me
Jan 21, 2016 right, but its part of being a public figure. i hear you though. PM me ill add u on the gram f it
