May 3, 2015 I don't know about you guys, but I really enjoyed that fight. Was my first full fight watching and I was amazed at some of the feints and movements. Boxing isn't that big in Australia and you don't hear much about it but I've always had an interest in the sport, now I'm a fan after watching this fight.
May 3, 2015 "Want to know why it took this fight five years to happen? Mayweather wanted to read the fight contract himself." :koolaid:
May 3, 2015 Boxing has s--- politics that stop legendary fights from happening every year, but there are always fights worth watching. Somebody like Rigondeaux is a world class talent, but people in his weight class are running from him. His fights are also very boring for a typical viewer as it's pure boxing and he's a master at things they wouldn't pick up on. So good fighters with good styles are what you're looking for. I recommend you watch Golovkin as he is a future legend and in his prime. Would demolish Pac or May in this stage of their careers. Tim Bradley lost to Pac twice, but he's excellent and sure to do great things moving forward. Do not watch Wlad as he's a clinch/jab fighter, though his next fight is against a promising prospect in Tyson Fury and will be his most exciting fight in years. Also, watching any previous Fight of the Year winners is a must.
May 3, 2015 Thats funny since as a legitimate boxing fan i felt this fight lacked any type of sustained action or workrate from either fighter. Floyd and packy are usually much busier and more aggressive than they were tonight. There have been loads of fights better than this one imo. A real shame that this fight wasn't made in 2010 or 2011. Would have been much more.competitive and intriguing. If you want a nice recent fight to watch, kind of a bull and matador ype fight, watch lara vs angulo. Its on youtube.
May 3, 2015 I guess I'm inexperienced when it comes to knowing what's good and what's not but from my POV I liked the fight. The second half of the fight was somewhat lackluster but apart from that it was good.
May 3, 2015 Oh definitely not, but he still threw more against maidana and canelo. Or even guerrero. In his lower weight days, like lightweight or super feather he was much busier
May 3, 2015 Statistics of the fight: Pacquiao: 240 hits and 30 successful. Mayweather: 256 Hugs and 45 kilometers running.
May 3, 2015 So the all time record is 49-0 which Floyd would tie after his next fight, and he's really not even gonna consider making it 50-0? Seems kinda crazy, you'd think the competitor in him would want that plus it'd obviously be huge $$.
May 3, 2015 I had it 10-2 Mayweather, for the record. A couple of rounds I gave to him you could probably give to Pac, but it is what it is
