May 3, 2015 People are talking about a rematch already, honestly there's no point, it's going to be the same s--- for the most part. Floyd dancing around being ultra defensive while Manny being the aggressor. I could see Manny being a lot more aggressive in a 2nd fight but I really can't see the outcome being any different. Put Pacquiao vs Crawford or Khan. Those would be enjoyable fights. h---, even Maidana lol
May 3, 2015 Well even if its boring, Mayweather has his tactics and as long as those tactics give him victories he wont change that.. The point is that someone should try and break those tactics instead of Pac's excuse of Floyd's dancing
May 3, 2015 No need for a re-match...Mayweather out-boxed him....from a finance perspective I am not sure if they would make as much money as this first fight....Pacquiao gameplan was neutralized very easily...I thought he was going to be a little more aggressive but then again his getting old too
May 3, 2015 too many people were disappointed because they expected a fight - Pacquiao wild style...but this is boxing...Mayweather is the smarter fighter and anyone who has watched previous fights should not be surprised of the outcome...Mayweather by decision! lol the majority of ppl tuning in rarely watch boxing lol Great advertising/marketing to get a bunch of non-boxing fans to pay $ to watch this... Only Mike Tyson was worthy of spending $ to watch...he was looking to knock you out everytime....Mayweather is boxing 101; technique/defence
May 3, 2015 I mean his tactics are no secret lol he performs sound defensive boxing which judges tend to lean toward. He's just played this sport for so long he knows what judges look for and will do the bare minimum to win that round. It's hard to beat that especially considering when he knows he's in front, he's going to keep his distance and whenever he does get caught in trouble he's going to push/hug which refs turn a blind eye to most of the time in boxing.
May 3, 2015 And any defense has its flaws.. Of course he will do it especially if it benefits him any way.. But knowing his tactics, his opponents can make out of it.. Dont let him hug em for example.. Or being even more attacking.. I dont know.. They are the professionals
May 3, 2015 Crawford isnt ready for welterweight, nevermind someone the level of pacquiao Still a very skilled fighter though and a future p4p fighter
May 3, 2015 Yeah but all this is a lot easier said than done especially the prior. Idk how you can stop a boxer from constantly hugging you, especially if you're the aggressor and you're trying to close in on them. This is why it's technically illegal but not really enforced. Just given Mayweathers position and style of boxing, it's hard to beat him when he knows what he has to do to win each round. His mind set I just feel like is so different than other boxers. He knows when he's winning or losing a round and keeps track of how many rounds he's won while other fighters I feel just go through the rounds trying to be as effective as possible without really keeping track.
May 3, 2015 Floyd got the situation all mixed up, hitting in the bedroom and hugging in the ring, someone go tell him its the other way around.
May 3, 2015 Well than you can understand my problem with Mayweather as a fighter. He's a great defensive fighter that knows the game well, as it is we don't see him get into trouble much in the ring but it's really frustursting to see the few times he does get in trouble, he resorts to hugging/pushing instead of fighting out of it. It just comes off as a cheap cop out.
