Aug 6, 2015 Pretty sympathetic to Dre isn't it? He had access to every rapper and producer in the industry. If he needed these three unreliable people to make an album, that's Dre's problem.
Aug 6, 2015 if Dre released an album in 2005 without eminem, game, and 50 he'd be f---ing crucified. he didn't have a choice, he couldn't release it then.
Aug 6, 2015 Exactly. Jimmy was Dre's boss and back then Eminem was rap's savior and G-Unit was "the black Beatles."
Aug 6, 2015 Interesting perspective, but I don't fully agree. He still had every resource at his disposal, and none of those guys were totally out of the picture. He could have gotten material out of all of them regardless. I don't believe anyone had more to do with Detox's delay than Dre himself. I do wonder how many 'Detox's there were with the amount of artists contributing. I imagine Bishop Lamont's time at Aftermath yielded a lot of material, and Stat Quo appeared to be working on it for some time. If anything, the delay looks to me like a situation of "too many cooks", for lack of a better term. Who didn't work on the album at some point?
Aug 6, 2015 yeah, that topless reference track was from that era, so its obvious em was involved in some way during the pre-2009 version of detox
Aug 6, 2015 @M Solo you obviously have high hopes for this like everyone else, what would be the biggest let down?
Aug 6, 2015 When i think about it there is no chance he will s--- on this. Dre (and The D.O.C) will make him sound good I say D.O.C because someone posted a video with Justus working with D.O.C and he is known for knowing what sounds good and not.
