Nov 21, 2015 @M Solo brilliant thread, even just as an overall topic, let alone comparing to Eminem. @WPG Already gave a good comparison...When I was thinking of Jay Z albums, I automatically thought of that stretch. Here's some I came up with from other artists... Some are stretches, but some I think are debatable, at least. You made an excellent point though, if any 5 song stretch competes with Jay's on Black Album, they're definitely from classic albums, and there are VERY few to account for. Biggie- Ready to Die Things Done Changed Gimme The Loot Machine Gun Funk Warning Ready to Die Everyday Struggle Me and My b---- Big Poppa Respect Friend of Mine Unbelievable Suicidal Thoughts Nas- Illmatic New York State Of Mind Life's a b---- The World Is Yours Halftime Memory Lane One Love ^That stretch is insane. I think this beats yours. 2Pac- Me Against The World Heavy In the Game Lord Knows Dear Mama It Ain't Easy Can U Get Away Old School f--- the World (This is a big time stretch, but f--- it) Joe Budden- Mood Muzik 3 (although I love MM2 way more, I think it had more fillers than MM3) Secretz All of Me Long Way To Go Thou Shall Not Fall Still My Hood (This is a stretch, but I only put it here because of Secretz and All of Me) DMX- It's Dark and h--- Is Hot (one of my favorite albums ever) Look Thru My Eyes Get At Me Dog Let Me Fly X Is Coming Damien How's It Goin Down Crime Story Stop Bein Greedy ATF For My Dogs I Can Feel It The Convo Niggaz Done Started Somethin (The 2nd list is a stretch, but I definitely think the first one competes) Eminem- Slim Shady LP Guilty Conscience Brain Damage If I Had 97 Bonnie and Clyde Role Model (this is the only stretch of Eminem's I'd make a case for, but "If I Had" is a real toss up. I love "If I Had" but I know it gets mixed opinions. But, Guilty Conscience, Brain Damage, 97 Bonnie and Clyde and Role Model alone definitely compete with that Jay Z list...)
