I thought Eminem gave us some really great closure about Kim on Going Through Changes. This song is just really unnecessary. It's not bad. There was nothing I hated on it but at the same time this is the guy who made Love You More. Why take a step backwards for this? I'm not mad at it but it's just awfully forgettable.

I think an extra verse talking about 2005-2005(start lf his addition, his best friend being murdered, remarried and divorced) would have taken this song into classic territory. As it stands though it just feels rushed and incomplete.

Okay, I'm really not being a contrarian here but this is EXACTLY why I've been vocal about Alex Da Kid. This beat for Tragic Endings is great. Like, I love it. It needs to be mastered better but it's f---ing sick. Skyler kills it too. The content is fine and I want to really, really LOVE this song but this has got to be the 20th variation of this song he's made in the last 9 years. I'm not complaining though and I will listen to it. f---, this beat is good. Ughhhhh did he just say something about her being a sewer and s--- is going through her? Fuckkkkkkkkkk. I can probably overlook it but again...SO. GOD. d---. UNNECESSARY.


Be that as it may, still one of the better songs I've heard so far.

Today I wake up and I see my guy JT is trending on Twitter. Album in a month and the snippets sound so fire that I've got to pull a @JMG and postpone my retirement.


But LLLLLLOL at you f---ing fa---- nobodies who strapped your capes on to come take shots at the KING in my farewell thread AFTER I'm gone. Imagine being that shook of somebody on an internet forum. I almost feel sorry you f---ing p-----s.



Anyhow I'm back through Superbowl weekend when the Pats finally repeat shout out to @Tom Brady


And this album was s---. If you've got questions about certain songs I'll gladly answer them but this garbage doesn't need a review.


Edit- Lastly, FS/LS is one of the greatest albums of all-time. You Eminem apologists need to sit back and watch what a real legend delivers after a 4 year wait.

2 weeks from release and the only thing worth listening to is Believe, In my head, Castle, and arose. None of which are top 20 of any of his songs. Every project he has been involved in, have at least one or more songs I’d rather listen to then anything on this cd.

Couldn’t agree more. I hate 80% of this album and can barely tolerate another 10% but this song is f---ing fantastic because of stuff like this.

I remember a Big Sean interview from last fall where he said that Em was super super busy and just barely had time for that godawful guest verse on his album. People love to give the impression that he eats, sleeps, and s----s in the studio 24/7 but Jesus - the album as a whole sounds like he wrote it over a 2 week period using premade choruses and beats emailed to him from the inner circle of people he has publishing deals with.

For a guy who’s a “super rap nerd” (and he genuinely comes off that way in interviews - see the recent Gladwell/Rubin podcast) it seems like he puts in the bare minimum these days in terms of crafting an album. Pretty remarkable (and baffling) when you contrast this with the crazy amount of hours he put into creating TES, nevermind albums for his protégés. I’d bet he spent more time working on Cheers than this album.

P.S. - Who knew that he was capable of producing a halfway decent trap beat? And how refreshing was it that he gave the beat space to breathe in the first 2 verses?!

Don’t know how You can hate frameeeeeeeed! I wasn’t a fan of Relapse either but I do like this song.. And it definitely isn’t old.. Just cuz he brought an old style back don’t mean it was recorded or written back then.. Plus the lyrics have up to date issues... Steven Avery making Murderer dropped December 2015

"River" is a hiccup for me. And a waste. Where's the ''concept'' he had always wanted to do with Eminem??... What, a generic love song aka every single song you ever make ever Ed? Yeah, glad you saved that one! Super lame.

See you in the next few months when he announces another project.
Believe and In Your Head are the only 2 tracks I’ve revisited as well, and I’d probably agree with your album ranking even tho Recovery is definitely not his 3rd best.

We also share similar sentiments on Castle/Arose. I’ve made the point before that it’s impossible for Eminem to make another classic track using his same old formula. 1. Daughter 2. Kim 3. Drug overdose. There’s going to come a time where nobody wants to hear about that s--- anymore, and we’ve probably reached it this year.
In your head was perfect minus the short run time and weird, although somewhat actually impressive/listenable flow.
