Dec 29, 2017 Still going to get to this but is Castle NOT the most underwhelming good song Eminem has ever made? f--- me what a wasted opportunity.
Dec 30, 2017 Actually do agree with this in some ways, it’s like the topic was perfect but missed so many things he could’ve addressed. Probably has everything to do with this not being a stand alone song.
Dec 30, 2017 I think an extra verse talking about 2005-2005(start lf his addition, his best friend being murdered, remarried and divorced) would have taken this song into classic territory. As it stands though it just feels rushed and incomplete.
Dec 31, 2017 Seeing that castle is as good as Eminem will ever be, i was actually taken back by how decent it was. Arose still has moments of that s-----y flow he does. Especially after he reminds it. The rewind on arose is bad and sounds like it was recorded years after castle was recorded. Castle at least doesn't have the s-----y trappings of every modern Eminem song, except for the second verse lead in into chorus. The cut and paste s--- really sticks out with his terrible verse to hook transitions he has in his songs now.
Dec 31, 2017 This album isn't even worth finishing my review. At the end of the day I rank it.... TES MMLP Recovery SSLP Encore Relapse Revival MMLP2 The only songs I'll be revisiting are Believe, In Your Head and Walk On Water. Castle and Arose are alright songs but they have been done before and better. (When I'm Gone, Deja Vu, GTC, GOF) Not bad songs but Christ f---ing Castle was a rushed, missed opportunity if I've ever seen one. What a shame. In Your Head was another verse away from being a classic but as it is it's a very, very good song. WOW really grew on me but it's so incredibly baffling to me that he opens up this album acknowledging all of his criticisms and then proceeds to give us an album full of all of them. Heat is trailer trash rap that nobody asked for. Framed is embarrassingly bad song. He thought Relapse was s--- and so did we so why revert back to that? Um, I still haven't listened to Offended and the Pink song all the way through. Both are 0/10's. What else... Oh yeah, the hook and the first verse for Untouchable were f---ing flawless. 10/10 vintage Eminem. Too bad the rest of the song s----d. All in all a very forgettable(at best) album and I give it a 2/10. Hopefully the terrible sales and response from critics lights a fire under a--- and he comes back with a vengeance for one last, truly classic album and if he does I'll be back. Until then though..... It's been real everybody. Solo Out RIP M SOLO 2004-2017 @eminemsxn Edit- Somebody mention the Eminem section. My final post is kind of important. Catch you guys on the flip side
Dec 31, 2017 not what I expected at all based on that dap to koolo through us for a loop. god bless, RIP
Dec 31, 2017 Agree with the rating but for completely different reasons. Framed has the best beat on the album and Untouchable is god awful the whole way through. In your head is super forgettable and the hook is mixed like absolute s---
Jan 1, 2018 DID he just say his final post is ‘kind of important’ ? Bit cringey that. Agree with the rating though.
