Jun 13, 2015 An OST is the music actually in the movie. Usually mostly instrumental music with a couple of vocal songs that might play during a montage or credits. Generally speaking, you don't have a lot of vocalists playing through a movie since that would f--- with the dialogue. In the case of something like 8 Mile, most of that music was not in the movie or credits

And does this mean that there will be two soundtracks? one with Shady Records Music and one with the score? or maybe a double disk album including both? That seems more likely.
