That s--- was f---ing dope and maybe the best thing he's done since his first hiatus. I hate on the guy and with good reason but I call a spade a spade and that was great. I'm really looking forward to this album now.

That was very 2002ish. I don't know what to say tbh... I've been hard on the guy and get called a hater but all I've wanted was him delivering what he is capable of. Tonight he did just that.

Not a single cringey line and he kept my attention the entire time. I'm very, very pleased to say the least.

Eminem sounded passionate. It's not a standout... but the part where he talked about building the wall, and threw on the southern accent... that's as Eminem as it gets. Been a long time since that.

I think there's an age gap on the appreciation for this. That s--- was money. Kids crying about no beat.

You're just a bandwagon riding fa----. Always have been. A bandwagon that I started nonetheless lmao. You're just a hater trying to be edgy.

And the rest of you guys- remember this thread and praise when I more than likely tear his verse on Pink's album to shreds in the next few days.

Just had a listen. It's really not bad. Couple of border line cringe lines, but overall it was pretty good. I just think he alienated a chunk of his fan base lol

The amount of Eminem-loving Trump supporters getting triggered over this verse alone makes up for MMLP2 imo.

If he’s legitimately pissed off the next album will be great.

Ya know what, f--- it..I just did a complete 180 on the song and I did it without even listening to it. Honestly it'd still sound bad to me with no beat and how he rapped.

BUT... the lyrics and message are great, and reading it over again just now when I'm high and smoked a few bowls made me like and appreciate it more. Plus doing without a beat is a smart idea here cuz he wanted people to specifically pay attention to the words. No I'm not saying that's why he did it that way, but regardless it's fitting.

Sooo....I do something I basically never do and give Em his props. Job well done here, he did it right.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Eminem. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of complex rhyme schemes most of the lines will go over a typical listener's head.

Anybody who says this s--- is garbage is either upset because it’s yet another accapella or because you support trump. This is one of the most impactful and monumental moments of his career. This is already one of the most viral moments in the age of the internet within just a couple hours. He did exactly what he set out for, and there’s so many gems between each line inside each line. This was so intelligently put together. Go ahead and read what he’s saying over and over once Genius posts the lyrics til you comprehend what he’s said. This is flawless regardless what anyone thinks. I want freestyles on beats and a prime Em flow on songs but this was suitable. This was not just a freestyle but an address. This is all coming from someone who hasn’t liked a Em album in 15 years since TES.

I'll ask again when was the last time we saw this from him? Anybody?

No cringey lines, focused, angry and not a single line wasted. I really can't believe it.

Agreed... to a point anyway. 2010 pop hits aside, this is Eminem's biggest moment since his hey day right?

The "cypher" itself has some issues, especially the beginning. (and he's certainly losts several steps, technically... shout out @WPG) But it's got the perspective, and worthy opponent in Trump, that Eminem has lacked for AWHILE. good sign. good use of his patented outrage. like the stubble beard, i'm intrigued, a little weirded out... but slightly hopeful in the direction.

it really shouldn't be looked at as a song or even freestyle, it's a message in reality

I posted my thoughts in the other thread, its best Eminem in a long time but his voice is worse than ever

The absence of cringe lines is actually astonishing
