Going back listening to Faces is so chilling now.



Celebrity deaths normally don't do anything to me but this one hit a nerve. Mac was a staple to my highschool years. That whole era of Wiz, Currensy, Mac, Meek, Big Sean, Kendrick, and some other rappers that were all starting to come up at the same time was a lot of fun.

Listened to this song after I found out he died and man it really hits you hard.



Rest in peace to a great rapper and a great dude.

Spoken well Fam. This has been & still is really tough. Mac was only a few years older than me, my friends used to see him around and take pics with him and s---, he really important to this city too. For real RIP to a Legend.

One of the worst parts of his passing is it took that to get Swimming to number 1 when that album is strong enough and deserving enough of that without tragedy. At least it's gonna get its due props, it's truly fantastic

I just finally heard faces for the first time last month & I fell in love with it. That line that is one of my favorite, then the “k--- me!” Adlib, it was just eerie and cool as f---. But I 100% agree with you, I wish he we still here. s--- is so f----- up

Still can’t believe this guy is dead. d--- this one actually hurt some. I still listen to lil peep-brightside when angry or in a bad mood. The dealers lacing s--- with fent deserve a death penalty imo. People aren’t overdosing on hydros or vicodin. Unless they’re idiots taking too many with tylenol that shuts down your body. Even those good oxy 30s these days are laced with fent. I was prescribed hydrocodone since 11th grade off and on and it makes you feel unstoppable when the buzz last. Couldn’t do it anymore after seeing 2 friends die from fent cut s--- within 6 months from eachother. Doc weaned me off onto Valium and I’m a lot more chill and laid back than before.

I've had so many of my friends inbox me asking for Mac songs to check out since he died. I mean, Im glad they want to get into his music, but it's pretty crazy that it takes a death for certain artists to get noticed.

Mac has been slept on for a long a--- time. Macadelic was smooth af and a great mixtape, Watching Movies and Faces were amazing.. Honestly didn’t care for GOOD AM at the time but it has some nice s--- after just revisiting it. Divine Fem & Swimming are excellent albums too. Then there was that Delusional Thomas mixtape?

Even his first couple mixtapes were fun and perfect for what they were at the time. Mac was a young goat for sure

I thought Mac was pretty mainstream tbh. If you knew hip hop at all, idk how you couldnt have heard of Mac. But I guess I am a little biased since he came from the burg.
