i know, i get that... but that was decades ago, and doesnt justify the incredible institutional conspiracy the filmmakers imply. that said, the cousin's coerced confession seemed v egregious to me.

Yeah he obviously believed them when they told him they had all the evidence, so it seemed like he was just guessing when answering their questions.

A part of me believes he's guilty, a part of my doesn't. There's still some things that don't add up, that don't make him completely innocent.

what they did to brendan is actually sickening. it broke my heart when he was talking to his mom on the phone and she asked why he confessed if it wasn't true and he said, "because i'm stupid mom. i'm sorry i'm not smart." still not 100% sure on steven tho.

That conversation and when he asked if he'd be out in time to watch Wrestlemania really hit me in the feels. He's just a learning challenged kid that got taken advantage of by people who are supposed to protect the community, it was disgusting. His first lawyer was a complete f---ing scumbag also, letting him be deposed without him or his mom present and then his investigator was just as big of a piece of s--- as him.

If he was guilty, how come they didn't find any blood in the garage even when they used the jackhammers to try and find traces of blood that could've seeped through

So, apparently the documentary left out some evidence. Pretty interesting that they left this out.
    http://www.maxim.com/entertainment/making-a-murderer-left-out-evidence-2016-1

As prosecutor Ken Kratz told Maxim last week, the documentary didn't present additional DNA evidence belonging to Avery: According to Krantz, Avery's sweat was found under the hood of murder victim Teresa Halbach's car. Making a Murderer only addresses the blood found at the scene, which the defense argued was planted by the sheriff's department, as it was in possession of a vial of Avery's blood due to his earlier sexual assault arrest, for which he was exonerated.

According to multiple sources, including Krantz, Halbach had been to Avery's auto yard several times before October 31, 2005, and apparently had told her boss she no longer wished to go there, after Avery's behavior made her uncomfortable. Avery had reportedly asked for Halbach specifically any time he scheduled a photography session with Auto Trader magazine. In his Maxim interview, Krantz said that Avery tricked Halbach into coming on the day she was murdered by leaving his sister's number to set up the appointment.

And according to Pajiba, "Avery had purchased handcuffs and leg irons like the ones [Avery's nephew Brendan] Dassey described holding Halbach only three weeks before (Avery said he's purchased them for use with his girlfriend, Jodi, with whom he'd had a tumultuous relationship — at one point, he was ordered by police to stay away from her for three days)."

But on the other hand, Making a Murderer didn't mention something about the jury selection that would seem to support possible tampering on the part of the Manitowoc Sheriff's Department: Two jurors were had relatives currently working there at the time of the trial.

idk how they could make a case for themselves saying she was murdered in his bedroom but there was no bloody matress, sheets, clothes or any blood found at all through the whole house

Watched 5 episodes in one day yesterday lol... It ended with the one cop talking about how he sent in a dispatch asking about a license plate that he claimed he was not looking at... He's so f----- right in that moment. Clearly a s--- ton of framing going on, idk how that's not so clear.

I do agree these are important facts that point toward Avery's guilt, but the whole thing still doesn't make any sense.

    Mainly confused about:
    • Why Teresa's remains were found in 3 different locations
    • Lack of blood/fingerprints/DNA in general (Brendan had zero DNA evidence)
    • Why Steven would deep clean the entire garage and trailer, but leave a couple clear blood smears in the car
    • Brendan's "confession"
    • The convenience for the police that Steven Avery murdered someone literally days before he was possibly receiving $36 million
    • The sudden appearance of the key
    • The sudden appearance of the bullet
    • Colburn's weird response about the RAV-4
    • Why Steven didn't crush the car
    • Deleted voicemails
    • Why Steven was the only suspect, even before her remains were found
    • The "accidental" contamination of DNA evidence
    • Brendan's s-----y lawyers

There were also confessions that Steven had been molesting younger members of the Avery family. He's a piece of s---, no matter what the documentary portrays.

lets be honest... dude probably did it. doesnt mean law enforcement wasn't out to get him, or didnt botch the investigation. all the "reasons" for his innocence like not crushing the car could easily means he's, well... a moron. which he is.
