There are always going to be mass shootings in the USA, I don't believe in big government muscling their way into personal lives to solve a societal issue which is mental health. I apply the same type of thinking to the war on drugs. Both of these issues are about personal responsibility and that can't be solved with big government trying to control people's lives. If a anything big government trying to solve these problems only intensifies the problem

We have to create some sort of common sense gun control legislation, laws that help both law abiding citizens and laws that stop guns getting into the hands of mentally unstable people. the problem is I find it hard to establish a kind of legislation that would help EVERYONE and not obstruct the 2nd amendment.

Gun control wouldn't have stopped the Orlando shooter, an AR-15 ban wouldn't have stopped it, an assault rifle ban wouldn't have stopped it.

Its a truly tough issue to try to break down but if we start disarming law abiding citizens then we are no better than Nazi Germany in that respect.
