I'm legitimately curious: what other rappers do you think are in the same realm as Eminem? I'm 100% not trying to give you s---, I'm just trying to gain some perspective regarding your taste in rap.

    Eminem is not lyrical myracle.

Eminem's Infinite era, MF DOOM, R.A The Rugged Man, Diabolic and even in some points Tech N9NE are examples of lyrical myracle rappers.

Doom doesn't say s---. A lot of things he say he just do it for the rhyming. Rap Genius is a site that can make look complex a Souija Boy Freestyle, cmon homie.

And don't get me wrong, i like a lot the past Doom. In Operation: Doomsday for example he got catchy tunes with good storytelling and some nice puns, Rhymes like Dimes and Doomsday being my favorites. But he is not like that anymore. What a shame.

I'm aware that Rap Genius at times can reach like a MFer but I'm saying like DOOM still tells stories, it's just not face-value lyricism anymore. It's kinda hidden between bars. And even when he's not telling a story, he's still saying s---. Lyrical spiritual miracle type dudes are only like that because they're basically reciting a dictionary without forming it into a coherent thought beyond a bar to bar basis.

I can't listen to anything by post MMLP Eminem without skipping tracks (even TES has SWYS and f---ing Drips). DOOM's discography is much more creative and consistently good. The Mouse And The Mask, Take Me To Your Leader, MM.. FOOD, MM.. Leftovers, Born Like This, his work as Viktor Vaughn... Great stuff. Some individual songs by Eminem in his prime might be more impressive (LY, Stan, Rock Bottom, Role Model, MM, SFTM etc), to me, anyway, but album-wise DOOM takes it easily. Even now that I'm not this much into rap, I'd rather listen to a DOOM album (except from NehruvianDOOM LOL how did this happen) than an Em one.

    Top 10 album.

edit: tbh it took me some time to get into DOOM, while Eminem's music is much more accessible. I used to think that Operation: Doomsday was boring at first, and dismissed his other work. If you want empty multies and fast flows, DOOM's not for you; if you like rap, give him a chance. It's shocking to see him compared to Crooked I, while on the other hand Em has been uninteresting for years (with the few obvious exceptions we all know).

Being someone who has enjoyed both their music, and who considers 'madvillainy' to be a classic, i have to go with em,
Or at least em in his prime compared to doom in his prime, though both are great

Doom is probably the more 'complex' emcee stylistically though,
It takes a special kind of listener to understand doom's music

I don't necessarily have a problem with him. his prhyme joint should be ill. I just don't think he combines rhyming, metaphor, production and storytelling nearly as well as em

How you guys can argue with someone like FriedSchizophrenic ?

This n----- all it does is mention aspects of a song (delivery, flow, etc) and not even known what they mean those things.
He talk about multis, puns, cadence and can't even speak in english without using Google Translate :50:
