Oct 18, 2021 Yeah, Jason always looked the most menacing to me too. For me personally, I always ranked Freddy above the other two because of the whole gets you in your dreams thing. Literally zero ways to avoid that. Great concept imo. Really hate how after 3 he just became too goofy. Thoughts on the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot? What did you think of Freddy vs Jason?
Oct 18, 2021 I thought the 09 Friday The 13th was pretty cookie cutter. IIRC it’s essentially just Jason tormenting a bunch of college kids? Been awhile tbh. I actually did not hate the Elm Street reboot the following year as well. I like Jackie Earl Haley and I thought he was good in the role. Genuinely scary looking. The movie looked good visually, it just kinda s----d lol. Freddy v Jason is a hilarious movie; most of the time unintentionally so, but hilarious nonetheless. It’s great fan service to see two icons like that come together. I know they had set that up many years prior, so quality aside, it’s a spectacle in its own right.
Oct 19, 2021 How would you guys rank the Halloween movies? It's been a good f---ing minute since I've watched 4,5,6, and resurrection my ranking would probably be controversial lol so I'll just say Good/classic Halloween 78, Halloween 2, h20, rob zombie Halloween 1, rob zombie Halloween 2 (I'm a sucker for rz2 I hate the white horse bs but everything else is awesome aside from the dialogue) I haven't watched 4 in years but the last time I did I remember thinking it was a great movie if you can ignore how Michael looks Halloween 2018 I love that Michael one of the better versions for sure and everything hes apart of in that movie is good but everything else about it f---ing sucks so idk if I can put it in good/classic halloween kills doesn't deserve to be in the bad or horrible id say it's just average bad is the obvious picks of revenge curse and resurrection resurrection might be so bad it's good also found out recently the original version of this film didn't include Michael he was added in after the fact which makes sense
Oct 19, 2021 Yeah, whole movie was just “college kids getting killed at a camp” type s---. No effort to give it any original aspects. Jackie Earl Haley did a lot better than I was expecting at the time. Made his own version of Freddy instead of trying to copy Robert Englund, which is what most other actors would’ve probably done. Dialogue and the main chick s----d for sure. And yeah that’s how I feel about it too. Good fan service, and enjoyable in that early 2000’s horror movie kinda way. Freddy winking at the end always makes me laugh. Perfect ending for the type of movie it is.

Oct 19, 2021 Kruger’s just an all round better antagonist (first 3 movies, after that he became terrible) he’s also virtually impossible to k---. With Myers, decapitation would surely defeat him, Kruger not so much. Jason is a pussywhiped mommas boy… we all love our mothers but he takes it a step too far which ultimately could cause his demise. Krugers only weakness is lack of fear, but come on, he looks like a burnt Lil Nas X… one look in his eyes and it’s game over!

Oct 19, 2021 still can't really believe how bad this was...so disappointing, I wanted to/expected to really like it. I even enjoyed halloween resurrection for f---s sake and no one likes that movie, but this was just absolutely awful. Even scenes that would've otherwise been good were ruined by stupid dialogue or annoying characters. I don't need incredible acting performances or perfect dialogue in a horror movie, but this was just noticeably bad almost the whole time... Plus as others have mentioned, the idea of Myers doing all these brutal and fancy kills doesn't make a lot of sense.
Oct 19, 2021 It had some good parts. I just think some stuff could have been removed, like that bald guy having so much screen time. I also understand that he's "hard to k---", but it makes it predictable cause you know he will just stand up again and again. Wonder how the next one will end if he's unstoppable, maybe he loses his super powers when he isn't wearing the mask?

Oct 19, 2021 Some other things I saw last pages aside from halloween kills; - freddy vs jason was great! It was not scary but very funny and well done. - new nightmare is the best elmstreet movie. Really amazing. - honestly friday 13th part 6 is the only really good jason movie. And I love Jason.
