Oct 15, 2022 I thought it was better than Halloween kills, which I felt was horrendous and easily the worst of the franchise. But it was a weird movie..I dunno why they needed to make Corey the main character, they really held off on Michael vs. Laurie till the last 15 mins even though it felt like that's what the whole movie was supposed to be about.. Spoiler I'm fine with Michael dying at the end, makes sense for the final movie of this series..yeah I'm sure there'll be reboots and who knows what else eventually. also maybe I saw it wrong....but shortly before they put him in that grinder thing when he was already presumed to be 'dead', were they....crowd surfing Michael Myers' body?? Like I hope I'm wrong, but I think I remember a scene where they were f---in crowd surfing his body.....if so lol that's stupid as f--- imo.
Oct 15, 2022 Thank you for making this post. I was just about to pay for Peacock to watch the movie but now I know I shouldn’t. You saved me $5. I’ll just wait until this comes to HBO Max like Halloween Kills did
Oct 15, 2022 I found a torrent, that's how I watched it. It's out there even in 4K thanks to Peacock lol
Oct 15, 2022 Spoiler michael dying definitely made sense. I just think it was stupid he wasn't really involved.. its like they made a movie about cory and alyson and in the end they were like oh s--- we need to end the michael / laurie story and they rushed it. Also I think Kills is overhated. It certainly is no Ressurection, H6 or Rob Zombie s--- level.
Oct 15, 2022 Yep loool they passed him around.. Couldn't believe what I was seeing neither smh. Other than that, the ending was pretty good.
Oct 15, 2022 Watched kills again today, I think these last 2 movies are going to have some people not dislike them as much on a rewatch when they know what they're getting into. I'll still stand by Rob Zombie's Halloween and a lot of his movies in general.
Oct 16, 2022 Yeah. To be fair, I loved Kills the first time I saw it except for the corny evil dies tonight s---. Getting the town more involved was a good move imo. And honestly, I liked how they did the same in Ends.
Oct 16, 2022 Don't think I end up thinking trash but Kills sure was better yeah. I still have to rewatch ends this week, to see where it lands in my ranking
Oct 16, 2022 Yeah I agree mostly. Definitely the worst of the 3. And it also undoes a lot of what happened in H2018 and Kills... Rating is a bit harsh, and I think this was written in anger like my first post after seeing it lol.
Oct 16, 2022 Yeah true. Just downloaded it and put it on an USB. Giving this another chance, on Halloween gonna watch Halloween 1, H2018, Kills and Ends in a row This is kinda similar to 4 - 5 - 6 in a way. 4 was great return, 5 had some weird choices.. and 6 just completely ruined it. But, I still think the Thorn s--- is a LOT worse than Cory. But, aside from that, it did bring back a non-corny Tommy Doyle (Paul Rudd nailed it) and for the most part it did feel like a Halloween movie. I also, in H Ends, completely missed a Loomis shoutout. They sure paid hommage by actually including him in Kills, but no mention or flashback at all... Gonna continue my horror month now, can't wait to watch all the Halloween movies again. Think imma give 6 another watch today too.
Oct 16, 2022 Aight, lets continue what I watched last week besides Halloween Ends Conjuring 2 Absolutely great. I think I prefer this over the first one, though they are very close. The girl playing Janet absolutely does a perfect job. The despair, fear and sadness, she nails it. Also love how they include different side stories again like the Crooked Man and The Nun that got their own movies. Also love how Ed and Loraine aren't your typical weirdo ghost hunters but just regular people. The ending was a bit copied from annabelle, but executed differently. The Conjuring movies are , along with Insidious and Sinister, few haunted house movies that really spooked me. 8.5/10 Scream 5 Like, in a way, this is similar to Halloween Ends (if you haven't seen Ends yet, spoilers ahead!) You got these new characters taking the lead and the old characters being sidelined till the end. The only difference is..... with Scream we knew it. This was supposed to be a reboot, bringing in new characters, start a new story, where Ends was supposed to close one. Like I said earlier, Scream and Halloween franchise will always have a place in my horrormovie heart. All the nobody characters that get killed, whatever. All the characters that are only in 1 movie, also whatever. But with 5 movies, I started to care for the characters like when you watch a tv show. Gale, Sidney, Dewey, I cared what happened to them. I liked the new characters actually, and they combined the old / new ones perfectly. The fact that Spoiler dewey got killed.. I was devastated when I saw this at the theatre, which proved how much I'm invested in this franchise. I'm still mad they did it, but it made the movie more intense, especially the reaction of the others. The killers motives were really wack, and its not believable that the girl killer could have done what she did (no offence) but I loved it anyway. I do think its silly they completely ignore Scream 3 yet again. However, this is my second favorite Scream movie, maybe tied with part 2. 8/10 Fear Street They created a great new universe with this. Hommage to Scream, but also including a more supernatural story with the witch. You can't really see this movie as a standalone, its all connected to the rest, but its very good. Also the main cast really does a terrific job! 7.5/10 Fear Street 2 First one was in ways similar to Scream in a way (aside from the supernatural stuff) this was obviously an hommage to Friday the 13th. And a great one! Very well put together, great acting and the story is touching and interesting. 7/10 There's someone inside your house Yeah. I don't mind a movie that touches political/racial subjects. Get Out was great. But the social justice s--- in this movie (race, gender) kinda ruined it for me. I actually liked the premise and the story itself is nice, but this was a bit too much for me. Solid performances by the actors though! 5/10
Oct 16, 2022 Yeah well they’re saying ends is basically the new season of the witch because it barely had Michael in it. And yes the blue lettering is a homage.
