Oct 23, 2022 Yeah really. I mean I can't even say yet if I like it or not... I was like speechless for the whole movie thinking I was in the wrong cinema hall lmao. I agree w people that 2018 had the perfect ending.. but if they insisted on a sequel, even Kills could have been perfect as an ending with a small change: I mean Alyson distracted him, Karen stabbed him and stole his mask.. then the people of Haddonfield beat him down. If they just let Laurie finish the job and then did the last minutes of Ends (as in, its impossible to k--- him so we have to destroy his body) and had her put him through the car crusher while the town watched... perfect!! Then if they wanted they could start a new series with Corey but at least Michael would have gone out as a killer thats almost impossibe to k---.. and they didn't do a complete 180 and suddenly make him a weak old man that loses a fight against some kid and an old woman.
Oct 23, 2022 Nah not really you're just a fa---- with no life and I wanted to call you a fa----. Funny how you call me a loser when it looks like you jerk off on chat roulette to 14 year old boys
Oct 23, 2022 Spoiler Agreed. That's what held me back for giving it a 10/10. I feel like they would need 2-2.5 hours to expand on it more, which is too long for the average viewer. And yeah RIP Robin. That pep talk to Finny was great and written very well imo. Did read an interesting theory about The Grabber:
Oct 23, 2022 @Michael Myers I think this is an interesting way of looking at Halloween Ends, thought you might be interested in this since you said the discourse has been kinda one note. https://bloody-disgusting.com/edito...omething-the-franchise-has-long-been-teasing/
Oct 24, 2022 Great article!! As a fan, I knew most of these things from the IMDB trivia pages, but the way they combined it to this article was really well done. Loved reading this. However, there is one major thing they 'ignored' here. The one thing that really bothers me with Ends. And thats not briging in a new killer. I loved Halloween 3. Great fresh story, and I don't care that they moved on from Michael. Would have liked to see a new Halloween themed movie every year. But Michael was dead. I also reallllly liked Halloween 4. The ending, making Jamie the killer would have been a great new theme to explore in 5. Sadly, I saw it like 10 years ago so I already knew "H5: the Revenge of MM" excisted... the cliffhanger with Jamie was great. But here again, Michael was dead. He was killed by the national guarde. In H5 they changed the ending, made him escape and gave us that HORRIBLE thorn bs... so yeah I would take Jamie's story over that in a heartbeat. The H20 story, with a copycat, also cool. Would have been even more "Scream" like but still. However, this was also with the idea of Michael being dead. See, in all of those cases, Michael was dead and they moved on to a new story. But the MM story had closure. My issue with Ends is they started a new story, and the whole MM/Laurie thing was ignored and then rushed at the end. I said this a few posts earlier; They could have just ended Michaels story with Kills like I described above. And then Ends (maybe another title) could still be like 90% the same. A town having a huge trauma that haunts them every Halloween, Coreys story, Laurie and Alysons involvement.... there is a lot of good stuff here and I'm not mad at it. But that one thing, completely ruining Michaels character by suddenly, without any explanation, turning him into a complete loser that easily gets overpowered (twice) after what he been through in '78 and 2018 just makes zero sense. Just end his story properly -like they did in H2 & H4, even in H2O before ruining it the movie after- and move on. But to tease Ends as the 'major showdown' and then give us this. Nah. But I think I will definitely grow to like this one the same way I like H3. Once I'm over this lol.
Oct 24, 2022 That scene in one when he sawed that body in half is the moment I turned it off lol. I'm a fan of horror movies, but I hate torture movies. Saw, Hostel, Terrifier, I don't like that at all.
Oct 24, 2022 No lie, I feel like this movie scared me more than it should have when it first came out. There's just something particularly creepy about the way those things slowly follow people in that movie. I always thought it was relatively well done.
Oct 24, 2022 lmao I didn't see either of these, but I did check out the bedroom scene from the second one after hearing about it and jesus christ what a mess - in the best way possible. I heard they only had a budget of $250k for the second one which makes the whole thing a little more impressive. In your opinion - do you need to watch 1 in order to appreciate 2?
Oct 24, 2022 So.. the past month I watched 33 horror movies. Few classics, some I never seen before, and random rewatches. And I shared my thoughts here. The next week I got a few days off, so I still got a lot to watch. The ones for next week are mostly (older) classics -to me- and Halloween related movies. At the end I'm also gonna rank and rate the Halloween franchise. Today I started with one a horror sequel that, imo, is the best horror sequel ever made. Gonna go out now and post my thoughts tonight. What would u guys guess?
Oct 25, 2022 @jankland lmao, this literally copies my post from yesterday... 100% what I said https://screenrant.com/halloween-kills-reception-ends-apology-change/
Oct 25, 2022 We're trading articles back and forth now but I found this cool, still questionable but based on what he's said about the kills trailer and the plot to this movie it's obvious he's not in control of marketing lol. https://www.moviemaker.com/halloween-ends-director-david-gordon-green-on-killing-your-expectations/
