Nov 23, 2023 6 was a decent enough sign off just scrap it for a bit and come back to it. They won't because 6 was one of the biggest in the franchise but getting rid of actually interesting new main characters (which is hard to do in legacy sequels) is a quick way to k--- my interest.
Nov 23, 2023 Their friends were ok, but they just lost the 2 characters people liked. Just get a new group for 7 at this point. I think it will end up scrapped now somehow

Nov 23, 2023 I don't mind chad and mindy not returning but I was getting used to Sam and Tara. I was happy Gale was in 6 even if her role wasn't that important. As long as they don't simply k--- off Sidney just for shock... I don't mind if they try new characters. However some of you suggest a brand new story. I don't agree. It should be connected somehow or else its not a real scream movie imo. Even if its w (some) new characters.
Nov 23, 2023 I don’t have many issues with Scream 6 but I don’t think I’m very hard to please when it comes to movies. The only real issue I had was Chad coming back at the end after he clearly should’ve been dead. Then again that same thing kinda happened to him in Scream 5.
Nov 23, 2023 Both chad and mindy looked like they were dead. And if they were like very injured and in recovery I would have got it... but both were completely fine lol But yeah s6 had some great parts.

Nov 23, 2023 Yeah I don't really want a reboot or a complete overhaul but I think slowly phasing out the main cast wouldn't have bothered me, they probably wouldn't have capitalized on this in an effort to keep a likable protagonist but Sam having serial killer tendencies could've made for some really interesting possible future directions for the franchise.
Nov 23, 2023 Agree! I mean it was the same night, and Scream 6 was like a year later (?) but it still made no sense they were all perfectly fine. Both physically and mentally btw after such a massacre. They did that better with Sidney, who was a mess after the events. By the way, despite some issues I absolutely love Halloween Kills. Right away, but it grew on me even more lol dunno why
Nov 23, 2023 Agree but to me there's a difference slowly moving on from legacy characters, like how they had Sid/Dewey/Gale more as supporting characters than killing them off. That would be a bad choice imo.
Nov 23, 2023 Fear street trilogy is really good btw, all 3 of them. Especially liked the 2 leads, but honestly all characters were good.
