Oct 24, 2018 So instead of nov 1st the movie premieres on oct 31 at the cinema near me. Gonna watch H1 first and then the new one right after!
Oct 24, 2018 @Michael Myers Sorry bud, I think you’re going to be very disappointed. I’m curious to see your opinion but you’ll probably agree with all of us. Edit: I mean the new Halloween btw. Not Hereditary which I haven’t seen yet.
Oct 24, 2018 @M Solo ranked it second worst in the series. I think it’s somewhere in the middle personally.
Oct 25, 2018 Ooh yeah thought u meant hereditary lmao. Dvd just came in today! But I'm not gonna watch it tonight. Just put in the dvd for my 2nd favorite halloween movie! Gonna see halloween on the 31st really hope I'll enjoy it.. but I'm kinda glad I read ur guys posts so I can lower my expectations a little lol
Oct 25, 2018 Cant blame him tbh i wouldve too if i wasnt allowed to watch it with everyone else Kinda wack tbh
Oct 25, 2018 I think its cool to see it on halloween first tbh But yeah sucks that movies come out here a little later than in US
Oct 25, 2018 NP: Black Christmas ‘74 This is a classic. The obscene phone calls still hold up to me and are still downright disturbing. And that glass unicorn k--- is one of the all time greats. Halloween is my all time favorite but it owes a lot to this film.
Oct 25, 2018 Black Christmas is dope and still severely underrated. It also boasts a really chilling final scene. Slant Magazine recently updated its list of 100 best horror films of all time. The top films are most of the standard classics, but the rest of the list is still pretty interesting and worth checking out for Halloween recommendations. https://www.slantmagazine.com/features/article/the-100-greatest-horror-movies-of-all-time
Oct 25, 2018 So I watched Hereditary. I really don’t know how to feel about it. Can someone explain the ending to me? I’m a little lost lol.
Oct 25, 2018 The entire film is so soaked in dread and the ending just drives it home. Omg this. Spoiler I almost felt like someone was sitting next to me saying “Hey remember when this happened in the original? Remember when this character said such and such? Remember how awesome it was in the original but it isn’t here?” And I haven’t seen anyone mention this part yet so I have to say it. Laurie saying “Happy Halloween, Michael” while coming out of the darkness was so bad. Both the way it was shot and the way the line is delivered. I know it was supposed to be like where Michael appeared behind Laurie in the original but it just doesn’t work at all here. At least Laurie disappearing outside when Michael looked away for a second was pretty well done. It got a nice applause from the crowd I was with.
Oct 26, 2018 Honestly, its great. Yes it kinda tries to copy the original (jamie = laurie), kids bullying her just like they did w tommy, sheriff being the father of one of the girls, loomis finding bodies on his way to haddonfield etc. But.. -The scene w the 4 'michaels' - instead of fear the people of haddonfield being angry and ready to fight - earl saying ' u dumb son of a b----, u said u saw myers' - jamie and rachel wandering thru the streets - beautiful halloween elements - the music, jamies theme is great - jamies nightmare scene - characters overall Etc It has so many great things and therefore its definitely my 2nd favorite. I watched all but 1 and h20 this month (gonna check them on 31st) and at this point for me its: Halloween 1 Halloween 4 Halloween 2 Halloween 3 Halloween H20 (despite being the less 'halloween vibe' movie Halloween 5 / halloween 6 Halloween 1 remake rob zombie Halloween Ressurection & H2 by Zombie
Oct 26, 2018 H4 also has my second favorite opening in the series. And I love that scene with Loomis and the guy in the truck. It’s really a great film. A couple minor fixes like making Myers smaller and giving him a better mask would’ve made it even better.
Oct 26, 2018 Do you think it was a smart move not continuing w jamie being a killer (which was basically the set up at the end of the movie
