Oct 26, 2018 5 was really for me when the series started getting really bad. All four of the first films are good. Then there’s this noticeable drop in quality with 5. The laundry s---t scene is really the only big highlight. Btw man. I know we’ve been shi--ing on the new Halloween a lot. But the music is seriously so f---ing good. I’ve been listening to tracks from the soundtrack on Youtube. “The Shape Hunts Allyson” is a really good track.

If the music is good and the halloween setting is done right its already above ressurection, zombie movies and 5 and 6 for me but yeah I kinda feel its not a top tier one since all of u guys agree on that

Oct 27, 2018 I don’t hate it. In fact, I LIKE it. I don’t love it but I like it. It’s just a very frustrating movie because it could’ve been so much better. However it is better than 5, 6, Resurrection, and the two Zombie films.

Oct 28, 2018 He’s never made a horror film before and it clearly shows. He does not know how to build tension or suspense for s---. The closet scene falls completely flat for this reason. Despite this, it still has its moments. The re-done intro with the pumpkin, the score, the tracking shot, the motion sensor k---, the Julian character, and JLC’s performance are the biggest highlights. Really wish some of the characters didn’t get killed off so soon or disappear halfway into the movie without explanation also. Something I forgot to mention in my other posts.
