Sep 15, 2017 The Exorcist. This Father Merrin quote is one of my favorite parts. Switch “the demon” with “the Jew” for a moment.
Sep 15, 2017 As a huge fan of the novel It (third read completed just a week ago) I really like the movie. Just got back from seeing it again, and though I hated the CGI the first time around it wasn't half as bad this watch. But the movie isn't very scary either, just a great coming of age movie with a great cast. 7.5/10
Sep 15, 2017 IT was whack tbh But I only say that cause I feel that it could've been really great in the right hands.
Sep 16, 2017 Not sure how i feel yet, Because laurie practically died on screen already lolol even tho it was during an abortion of a movie. i guess we just have to hope its in the right hands with blumhouse. she's remarkably older, we arent going back to the night at the hospital as some previous articles wouldve liked you to believe. Nothing has been confirned where this will take place tho:/ Oh well, my a--- will be seated in a theater seat eating mcdonalds as the previews roll lmao. For the record. I wouldve taken a whole new cast in the right hands n picked up after two n called it 3, but this news adds a weird spin to everything. I hope this isnt Halloween H20 2. Also a note: michael myers birthday is October 19th 1957
Sep 16, 2017 Was good at first then it went to s--- and the ending was whack af, Pennywise was way cooler when they barely showed him and he was legit scary, then he became a lil p---- The trash CGI Cary woulda made a great film out of this.
Sep 16, 2017 It's still in the hands of DGG & McBride which means it'll be legit. You got no basis to compare it to H2O, this film was clearly stated to be a follow up only to Halloween I & II so in that universe Laurie is still alive.
Sep 16, 2017 @DetroitSkills mixed feelings about it. Sure it's cool to have Jamie back, she was great at playing Laurie. However I agree with @WavyTylerEatingDicks H20 happpened. Michaels head was cut off and that was the end. The whole he was the paramedic stuff was just impossible because everything that happened after the 'paramedic' got in the body bag was not possible for a normal human being to do. So basically if they ignored Ressurection and said okay Laurie survived, fine, but how could Michael still be alive? If they ignore H20 we have a 3rd version of a sequel (H4-5-6 and H20).. not sure how I feel about that either. But yeah whatever they decide to do, if the execution is great I'm fine with it. Hoping for the Halloween theme and not too much new age music in it. Also, even tho I liked H20, Haddonfield as the setting >>>>>> that campus in California. It just kinda took the Halloween spirit away from it, since there were no kids trick or treating, no halloween celebrations etc. It is the whole Halloween/Haddonfield setting that makes me put it above other stalking killer movies. @eddie313 haven't seen IT yet. But @Packman basically described how I feel about the original so if this one is like, the same, I'm sure I'm gonna like it. But not as a horror movie.
Sep 16, 2017 If, eventually, we get an enjoyable Halloween movie... don't care that much if it makes sense. So many movies don't lol
Sep 16, 2017 Uhm but this is what the creators have stated, this film is a reboot that takes place in the timeline of Halloween I & II alone. Most of the Halloween movies are s--- after that so I don't understand what the issue is. DGG & McBride way more talented than anyone who worked on those later Halloween movies so it's silly to even pack them into the same conversation. I already know people will complain about this film like they did about the Rob Zombie films, which are the best of the franchise, so it really doesn't matter. Plebs will be plebs.
Sep 16, 2017 It's not an "if" it has been stated that this is a sequel to the first two Halloween films strictly. How you feel about that is another thing, but it shouldn't be judged by how it follows events of some s--- movies made to bank off of the franchise name..
Sep 16, 2017 Yes but Jamie is like, what in her 50's? If she plays Laurie it has to take place a long time after the original 1&2. Also I liked Rob Zombies part 1 a lot
Sep 16, 2017 Like I stated later in that post, if we get an enjoyable movie thats all that matters to me tbh. Just think its lame to come up with another storyline following up H2
