Oct 15, 2022 Yeah well honestly, I liked the last 30 minutes or so.. and I at first actually liked the opening scene. But the huge middle part of teenage drama was ehh But at that time I didn't know Spoiler the whole f---ing movie was about that kid and alyson instead of Michael and Laurie Also I don't get how they went through such lengths to make Frank Hawkins survive 2018, and make Lindsey surive the last movie and not have them play any significant role at all lol
Oct 15, 2022 For a second I thought Spoiler When Michael grabbed Laurie "evil" was going to get into her body lmao, just like when he grabbed the babysitter and dude turned into a serial killer lol And the whole Spoiler "I killed someone" and Allyson being like, "it's ok, I love you" , and also turning her grandma into an opp, wtf I felt the same way I did watching whatever that last Matrix movie was.
Oct 15, 2022 Spoiler yeah I think when he said that, he actually meant that homeless dude, but since they went to the house he 'killed' that kid, I think Alyson thought he was talking about that Yeah the best way I would describe this is a some sort of spin off episode for a tv show. This is how that feels... which is fine, but NOT to end a 40 year old franchise. And the way they just ignored h2018 and kills happened mostly... ugh
Oct 15, 2022 Yeah, I'll just act like this one doesn't exist. Dude was still weird after the meeting though, you could tell. Whole thing is just a mess until the last 30 minutes.
Oct 15, 2022 I mean I want to.. but I really wanted a proper way to end this series. But now, this is all we gonna get. So I guess imma hold on to the good parts to end this, otherwise good 'new' trilogy Spoiler michael is just a man who can die....yeah thats really the michael we seen in 1978 and 2018...
Oct 15, 2022 It’s such a shame as Halloween 2018 was so promising of what a modern take on Myers could be. Kills was what ever, filler movie that didn’t make much sense and Ends was insulting to anyone who is fan of the originals. Pretty insulting to the audience intelligence as well, this movie and has nothing redeeming about it. Hollywood should just leave remakes and reboots of classic franchises alone but it’s only going to get worse. Only matter of time before Back To The Future and Harry Potter get butchered by corporate greed as well.
Oct 15, 2022 Well I mean 2018 was, like you said, great. So that was a good idea. But they should have just left Michael there to burn, would have been perfect. Personally, I like Kills.. but Spoiler they made michael like superhuman (more than he already was) and then in ends turned him into a weak loser. Makes no sense at all. If they just gave it a decent last movie it would also be good but this was an insult to the others mostly
Oct 15, 2022 Spoiler Die. If I remember right Laurie killed him in one of the sequels. Or did he survive and swim away? lol was that the same movie? This is what happens when you have bad memory and watch them all on the same month lol
Oct 15, 2022 Spoiler Yeah, he died in h20. But they undid that in Ressurection (in an impossible way though so it doesn't really count. She cut his head off... I mean there is no way to return from that. He also died in halloween 6.. Tommy Doyle killed him with a bat also getting his head off. swimming away is H5. He got shot in 4 and they undid that in 5 , also very far fetched lol The franchise is full of stupid things... but Halloween and Scream movies will forever be in my heart lol
Oct 15, 2022 Eh, I don't hate it, but it's not the same. It should have been a spin off instead of a Halloween movie imo
Oct 15, 2022 Well it is a Halloween movie. Just not about Myers. The og idea was to have a Halloween themed movie every year.. but fans wanted me back so H4 happened lol
Oct 15, 2022 I think 3 is funny but I don't think it's good, also unpopular opinion but I agree with John Carpenter on not thinking 2 is good either.
