Sep 6, 2023 Yeah all the Screams and all the Elm Streets including the OG. I’ll probably watch X first
Sep 6, 2023 d--- ur in for a treat man!! Good choice to start w the mediocre ones. I also started w my anual classic horrormovies (re)watch tonight: Urban Legend. Gonna post thoughts when I finished it
Sep 9, 2023 Lets gooo! Urban Legend It's very, very obvious that this is from the same year as Scream 2 and Halloween H20. Like those 2 its on a school campus where a killer (this time hooded and no mask) goes after its students and teachers. The only 'other' element here is that the killer uses Urban Legends to k--- the victims. Kinda clever and fun idea. It's not really fair to compare the movie to the ones I mentioned; both are sequels to classic movies and people already care for the characters. The characters in Urban Legend are really not that interesting tbh. However, in this movie the killer actually does have a pretty good reason for the killings.. even if its targeted on the wrong people. Compare it to Scream like people did back then, and its kinda bad. But other than that its just a fun slasher, same was I Know What You Did Last Summer is. 6.5/10
Sep 12, 2023 Aight next ones; Freaky It's a combination of Happy Death Day (the tone), Freaky Friday & Friday the 13th (both storywise). The opening is classic horror movie stuff: predictable, yet dark and fun. The rest of the movie is kinda, I dunno, weird. One moment its like watching a teenage romantic comedy, 5 minutes later full on slasher. There were definitely cringe moments when it tried to be the former, but in the end the balance was good. A bit rushed at the end, if they dropped the teenage drama a bit more it would be better to me, but it was a fun watch. Both Vince Vaughn and Katherine Newton did a great job and g.d. did Katherine look hot when she was the killer. Fun modern day slasher! 7.5/10 You're Next Had this dvd for years now and was pretty excited seeing all the good reviews. It's a home invasion movie, so I immediately though of the Strangers. Where the Strangers went for being creepy as f--- and tried to scare the audience / make us feel very uncomfortable, this one is different. Here it's a big family with many annoying people that you don't really care for if they die. The kills are pretty cool and the 'twist' (even if its not THAT big of a surprise) is fun. But tbh this is not a movie I would watch again: knowing how it goes and ends its not that interesting anymore. 6.5/10
Sep 13, 2023 Yeah she's definitely cute. Knew her from Supernatural and Paranormal Activity 4. I don't know / watch Marvel movies
Sep 13, 2023 How is the Society? Got it on my watch list. Anyway on topic, can't f---ing wait for october 6th, Exorcist Believer!
Sep 13, 2023 f---ing Netflix. Before I watch a show nowadays I always check if it has a proper ending. It sucks so hard if u get into a show and then its over without an ending lol
Sep 13, 2023 Well I heard that '1899' from the makers of Dark was very good but cancelled after 1 season... started watching episode one but not sure if I'm gonna go on knowing I will get mad at that. Also the OA was canceled after 2 seasons when it became good. Same w others. In their defence: they saved Manifest and gave it a decent ending!
Sep 13, 2023 I quit 1899 tbh. And OA was cancelled because it took ages to make a season. First one was weird, but kinda cool. Didn't enjoy the second one.
