Oct 2, 2023 Yeah I agree. She’s just been working out a lot with a personal trainer, I remember seeing videos of it somewhere
Oct 8, 2023 And the (re)watches continue! Annabelle I still have to see the Nun, but so far the Conjuring and its spinoffs are mostly wins for me. Seen Annabelle twice before. Yes, if you watch on of them you basically have seen all of them, but I think they are cool. Annabelle is no exception. I do like that they brought in the Manson cult and that creepy ritual stuff. That was nice. The ending was a little lame with some random woman sacrificing herself, but yeah I think the 2 leads were fine (she was also very hot). Some creepy scenes and story, love how its all tied together with the sequel. 7/10 Friday the 13th (OG) The legend of Jason Voorhees. Except in this movie he's only mentioned until the movie's final seconds. I don't wanna sound harsh, but watching this in 2023 its pretty corny at times lol. The setting is nice, story and legend of the lake camp too, but the acting of some is really bad. The final fight is one of the most awkward scenes I have ever seen. However it is a fun watch, still. But when Jason comes into play I like it more. 7/10 Evil Dead Rise This wasn't a rewatch, first time. What can I say? From the original Evil Dead movies I like the 3rd one the most, where he is brought to the past. I think the first 2 are very well done, and creepy. But I'm not into horror movies for the gore. The tree r--- scene etc are a little too gross for me. Evil Dead Rise doesn't have scenes that are that controversial, but its also mostly about (a lot of) blood. The kids were all annoying and weird as f---, with some stupid woke remarks at the beginning. The aunt was great though! And the possessed mom too. It started out really creepy especially when she was fighting the possession. And love how they paid hommage to the book from the OG movies. But at one point it was about body parts, blood and 3 people becoming one 'creature' that was just weird and not scary. Also while its very common that people in horror movies are dumb as s---, I can still get pissed how they, during the whole movie, just stood there to get attacked. They barely tried run or fight back, until they had no choice. The final scene was just gross and not scary, but I'm glad it had an satisfying ending. And of course, all doors are open for a sequel in the cabin! Solid movie, but probably not gonna be an anual rewatch. 6.5/10
Oct 8, 2023 I only watched Annabelle creation and the bs they dropped after. Never watched the original
Oct 8, 2023 Holy s--- Myers is back at it again with the woat review for Evil dead rise. That s----s fire man... Only s--- scene was the end when they conjoined to make a f---ing spider lmao. You didn't like the laughing scene as she exits the flat? Sinister fr. You watched Exorcist yet?
Oct 8, 2023 Lmao. I said it was a solid movie! And I really liked the first half. Just not a huge fan of 'the more blood the better'. But yeah that scene was creepy, as was the majority of the movie. Maybe 6.5 was a bit low, 7 is probably more fair. I liked it.
Oct 8, 2023 Honestly watching Annabelle after Creation is even better since its a prequel. Part 3 was meh.
Oct 8, 2023 And today: Annabelle: Creation Like I said to @Marsh , it doesn't matter if you haven't watched Annabelle. Since this is a prequel that ends with the beginning of the first movie, it makes even more sense watching this first. Except, that this movie is even better than Annabelle. It's amazing how great all the cast members are. The kids, the nun, the couple, all did such a great job. The girl playing Janice/Annabelle is talented as h---. And while it obviously has a lot of similar jump scares like the other Conjuring movies, there are definitely some very cool and unique-ish things here. Love how they connected the ending to 'Annabelle". This movie is, along w Conjuring 2, by far my favorite of the franchise. 8,2/10 A Nightmare on Elmstreet 3: Dream Warriors After being forced to watch that abomination that is part 2 (s/o @BIGFOOT ) I wanted to give this another spin too. Bringing back Nancy, and Don, was a really smart move because it was hard to really care about the other kids. Kirsten is also a good co-lead. I never noticed that they already introduced hypnocil here, the drug they went after in Freddy vs Jason. Kinda sucks that Nancy died, because after this movie it kinda turns to s--- and Freddy turns into a clown. Until the masterpiece that is NN of course. The special effects here are like really old (which is not strange) and kinda awful but thats not a fair critizism. I do think the whole dream power 'I'm a wizard!!! And I'm pretty" is really gay. Even gayer than elmst 2 (HAHA GOT EM!) However the story is kinda nice, and this would have been a good closer to the franchise. But, just like Halloween and Friday the 13th, that wasn't an option. And honestly I'm also happy they kept it going. 6.5/10
Oct 8, 2023 My bad, got tickets for the Exorcist Believer tomorrow! Really hoped Linda Blair would have had a surprise appearance but appearantly that doesn't happen. Maybe in 2 or 3!
Oct 8, 2023 Tbf the elevator blood scene was a bit silly too I've watched it won't spoil anything for you though. Enjoy!
Oct 8, 2023 Ah man I love aggressive blood usage lmao, I never found a lot of Raimi movies extremely scary so I find the over the top nature of his movies and the newer Evil Dead movies to be kinda refreshing. The new "horror with a message" type movies are good but I like that there's a comeback to the wacky bs lol.
Oct 9, 2023 Yeah that and the whole 'spider' stuff mostly. But most of the movie is fine. Thanks bro will let you know when I seen it. 2 more hours!!
