Oct 26, 2023 Scary Movie 1 was a parody of Scream (fun fact, Screams original title was going to be Scary Movie!) I'd very much recommend rewatching Scream, it's basically a perfect slasher movie to me
Oct 26, 2023 Scary movie = scream & I know what you did last summer combined and turned into a comedy
Oct 26, 2023 Could anyone recommend good Horror TV shows? Chucky's pretty big, but I can't really think of many besides that
Oct 26, 2023 Aight, today: Conjuring 2 The thing I'm most happy about is that the family its about already lived at the house. 99% of the haunted houst movies start with a family driving to their new (mostly old, creepy) home. Doest that matter? No, just a pet peeve. However, those movies always do take time to have the family 'settle' and one kid being angry they left the city. Here it picks up with creepy s--- right away. There are barely any boring moments where nothing happens and they do a great job showing the despair. The girl that plays the (eventually) possessed girl does a really good job. Oh and also, Valak/The Nun is way scarier here than in the Nun movie tbh. I can say more but I just wanna close off by saying this is my favorite conjuring movie along w Annabelle:Creation. 8.2/10 Friday the 13th part VI: Jason Lives The opening was really stupid, why the h--- did they open Jasons grave? However the rest of the movie is pretty good. Its pretty similar to the first movie but Jason > Jasons mom. Some really cool kills, it doesn't happen a lot that a 6th movie in a franchise is so dope. 7.5/10 Konferensen New movie on Netflix. Its a comedy/slasher really. I loved the first half where they all acted like assholes to eachother and refused to have a good time. You honestly can't feel sympathy for the characters since they're all selfish d----s lol. Its really awkward yet realistic lol. Later on some characters grow on you a bit more, others get even worse. The second half is a slasher. Its at a camp in the woods and a lake, so it does have some similarities to Friday the 13th. The characters are so different which is awesome. I love that the 'heroes' are not the one you expect at first. Fun movie! 7/10
Oct 26, 2023 Haunting Of Hill House on Netflix if you never watched it, not the scariest thing but very very good.
Oct 27, 2023 How is chucky? Currently watching Childs Play 1, I like that one. The comedy ones were fun but I was glad they went back to horror with Curse / Cult of Chucky. I understand the series is a direct sequel to Cult of Chucky... haven't watched it yet.
Oct 27, 2023 Myers has been dming me begging that I watch his new favourite series called Dixon inside and another one called Of Me. Sounds gay to me.
Oct 27, 2023 I only watched the first season but I think it's pretty good, it leans a bit back to the comedy side but there's still some fun kills iirc
Oct 27, 2023 Spoiler jk bro, thanks. I like the comedy movies to an extent but kinda scared the series made it more a drama or sitcom.
Oct 27, 2023 @Marsh you can definitely keep Jenna (she's cute though) Melissa Barrera >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Oct 27, 2023 I have to admit I’m more used to Jenna since I already knew her from You, but yeah, even if Melissa is fine, I’m keeping Jenna. Strike better end soon so she will be able to s---t SVII, Wednesday 2 and Beetlejuice. Btw, Monica Barbaro (Top Gun), Adria Arjona (Morbius), Christian Serratos (Walking Dead) and specially Victoria Justice >>>>>
Oct 27, 2023 3.5 more days till Halloween! 4 movies today. Sinister Its still creepy as f---. I mean yeah it obviously has supernatural elements and the backstory is about a ghost/demon whatever. But the events itself are pretty realistic, which makes it stand out from other similar movies to me. The story is well put together, the twist at the ending is really cool. A good modern horror. 7.7/10 Childs Play HI I'M CHUCKY WANNA PLAY?? Its so simple, yet effective. With all the sequels, comedy editions, transformations, families, even a remake w a completely different angle, I still like this one the most. It's fun, creepy, and a more creative version of a possessed doll. Having an actual human killer in it, makes it even scarier than some ghost to an extent. Great movie. 7.7/10 HalloScream H20 It was obvious that the original Scream was heavily inspired by Halloween. However, it's even more obvious this one is inspired by Scream 2. It's a nice hommage to actually show a scene of S2 the same way they showed Halloween in S1, but using the same score and location is just lazy. This really feels more like a Scream movie in any way. You can hate on Halloween 4,5,6 but those are more Halloween movies than this one. The story itself is nice, despite being kinda boring for the first half. And yeah I like the ending (Resurrection was never made). But Halloween 4 is a way better sequel even if it doesn't have Laurie. 7/10 Scream (5) I said this 3 times already, but Scream is easily the strongest flasher franchise with 6 movies in. No other franchise came this far without a terrible one. I do have to be honest: it needs Sidney, Dewey and Gale. I like the Sam character, but the other survivors I didn't really care for in this movie. Deweys death was devastating and I f---ing hated it, but I understand they had to k--- at least one major character. I will say though, if part 7 kills off Gale and Sid, I will stop watching. Back to the movie: I love it. The backstory was cool, nods to the deceased characters, Martha cameo, Billy hallucinations, even the Tatum memorial made me smile. So many cool details paying hommage to the OG. Ricky was such an annoying character, glad he got what he deserved. Gale, Sam and Sidney are great together and going back to the house was a nice touch. I do always prefer it taking place in Woodsboro same way Halloween needs to be in Haddonfield. So I wasn't that happy with Scream 3 and 6 taking place somewhere else (I liked 3 though). Tomorrow gonna watch 6 for the second time. However, Scream 5 is easily my favorite along w the first one. 8.5/10
Oct 27, 2023 Anyone ever watched a movie called Critters??? Was one of my fav films as a kid, defo check it out if never seen it. Another classic gem that goes under the radar is Monster Squad, s--- was legendary when younger.
Oct 28, 2023 Still got tonight but so far today: Sinister 2 It's definitely not as good as the first one. However, this one clearly wants to dive deeper into the lore and focusses more on that. Which means less time for jump scares and most of all creepy moments than part 1. I still think its a solid sequel though. The new family (hot mom) is cool, like that they changed it up and focus on the kids involvement more. Also having the deputy be the link to the first movie was a good move. Its a decent sequel tbh. 7/10 A Nightmare on Elmstreet What more can I say about this? I mean you can't just rate the movie itself and ignore the huge franchise and influence this had... it's a classic. It's also a known fact that horror movie characters are stupid. Still, it's hilarious that Nancy follows her dead friend in a bodybag thinking she will get her back somehow lol. Heather did a great job here though and the score is what makes me enjoy it even more. 8.5/10 On to Halloween 2 and Scream 6!
Oct 29, 2023 Small change of plans Halloween 2 Yeah, so if we're looking at the whole Halloween spirit, its very present in this movie. The score is by far the best thing about this movie, sets the mood perfectly. I really like the first part where Michael is wandering through the neighborhood. However, the hospital s--- kinda bores me. Like, he can walk around there nobody notices? How are hospitals always empty in moves? Scream 5 also lol. The staff that gets killed, some cool kills but never really cared for them anyway. The chase/ending is cool though! But, anyone who cries about Kills and Ends being 'supernatural'.... lol. Dude was shot six times at the opening (ending of 1) then again shot close by Loomis and just walked around no problem. Then he got his eyes shot out, and got burned down to the ground.... yet he's fine in both Halloween 4 (after he escapes) and H20. So don't give me that 'hate that they turned him supernatural' bs lol. 7.2/10 Curse of Bridge Hollow I wanted to wait till monday for Scream 6 and decided to rewatch this one. Its a family movie so it never gets really scary, and nobody actually gets hurt. But its a great Halloween movie. The story, Halloween decorations coming to life is really cool. Kinda wish they made a true horror about it. This movie loves Halloween and therefore I love it! Marlon Wayans is good, the lead actress is kind annoying though. Fun movie! 6.5/10
