Nov 5, 2023 Agree w your points! Spoiler the reason I was curious about ir thoughts is that the killers have similar motivations and are kinda lame just like in S4. Like, Billy Loomis was either manipulated by Roman or he was angry that Sidneys mom ruined his parents marriage. Nancy (s2) was mad because Sid killed her son. Roman was mad that his mom left him and Sid got the life he felt he deserved.... in both Scream 4 and 5 its just some bratty kids wanting to be famous. But I do think S5 does a great job connecting the new characters to the OG ones. Also yeah Melissa and Tara were great but the movie really started for me when Dewey, Gale and Sid returned. The chemistry between them and Sam was also great. Ritchie was lame as f--- and so was Amber. But the whole movie was amazing. Deweys death was terrible yet powerful. Not even the death himself but when Gale came running and Sidney arrived it was so devastating I had tears in my eyes watching it. And the return to Stu's house was also a nice touch. Honestly its tied w Scream 1 for me. So great. And yeah I kinda like 4 but the characters (other than the OG ones) do nothing for me. Emma is fine but the rest was meh. I kinda liked Kirby but the rest... the actors in 3 were even better.
Nov 5, 2023 They aren't even shooting. Just House Of The Dragon in the UK. Everything else will get pushed back to the next year Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they hadn't even started shooting SVI before the strike.

Nov 5, 2023 Anyone still watch Scary Movie once in a while? The first one especially. I haven't seen a Scream movie in forever but I find myself revisiting scenes from this every year or other.
Nov 5, 2023 Definitely! 1 is a classic. Great combo of parody, comedy and slasher. The other ones aren't as well done as this one even though I kinda like the 3rd one too.
Nov 5, 2023 Three definitely had its share of knee-slappers, too. What a shame about 2 though. The Wayans Bros done f----- up. How do you go from Don't Be a Menace to South Central and Scary Movie 1 to that? It should have been another classic, even if the weakest of the three, but the opening Exorcist sketch was the closest it came to being even remotely funny, at least that I can remember.
Nov 5, 2023 Yeah also, I love the Ring and the Grudge so SM3 using those movies was nice. The scene where the older woman drags the lady from the tape out of the tv lmao 2 had such a great opening I agree 100%. High hopes when I saw that Exorcism stuff. But everything after... that lame experiment in the house etc was just stupid. And the ghost, lol. Don't really know what movie it was based on.
