Oct 16, 2024 Insidious Chapter 2 Picks up directly after the events of the first one. I don't think it's as good as that but some elements are imo. The whole investigation s--- bores me, the 2 nerds are again f---ing lame and yeah ghost Elaine was whatever. But I did think possessed Josh was creepy. His behaviour, the threat. And it was a really cool twist that it was the real Josh was doing the haunting this time and the demon was trying to get rid of him. I like that idea. Also, ghost Josh being the one that scared himself and his family in part 1 was a nice twist/throwback too. It's obvious that part 2 was already in mind when they made part 1 that's cool. Good movie! 7.2/10
Oct 16, 2024 I think this is the best Insidious movie imo, not sure why, it just blew me away more than the first
Oct 16, 2024 Yeah I think the first one is a bit scarier. Thats why I rated it a little higher. But the second was really creative especially the whole time and space bending stuff. So I agree in some ways it is better but I think the whole ghostbusters s--- is a bit corny lol
Oct 16, 2024 Yeah, I thought it was better than people were claiming. I think it was the 3rd best under part 2 and part 1
Oct 16, 2024 That spitting alien p---- was funny though, but I was hoping they all died tbh, including the r-----ed android. I love Alien and Aliens, but the rest of the movies are whack.
Oct 16, 2024 Scream (1996) What can I say about this movie that has not already been said? Scream is my favorite slasher movie of all time, horror movie of all time, and perhaps even my favorite movie of all time. Tough race between that and Scarface. Anyways, I just feel like everything is perfect with this movie. The acting, the character building (you actually give a f--- about them! Believe it or not you can do that in a slasher film!), the Ghostface is terrifying, the opening scene is iconic, he acting from Skeet and Matthew at the end is phenomenal, as is Neve and the rest. Just a WOW movie overall and a must see in my opinion. I can't believe it took me until early 2022 to see these movies. RIP Wes Craven, you were a true horror genius. 10/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1. Scream (1996) - 10 2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) - 10 3. IT (2017) - 9 4. Terrifier 3 - 9 5. Oct 17, 2024 Friday the 13th (1980) This movie gets a huge boost for kickstarting the franchise that it did. The original Friday the 13th is a simple, typical slasher in the woods with a mysterious ending that could (and eventually, did) set up the franchise. I do think it's funny how the killer being Jason's mom is such a big twist with people because the entire franchise is associated with Jason. There's not too much to say about this movie, but the practical effects are cool and it is awesome how this movie ended up kickstarting an absolute horror juggernaut! 7/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1. Oct 17, 2024 My Bloody Valentine (1981) I am really not sure how I haven't seen this movie sooner! I have always heard of this one, but never gave it the time of day. I regret that. They did a Valentine's Day slasher, but made the background and reasoning behind it pretty interesting instead of "it's Valentine's Day and we have a guy killing people." For '81, this one was surprisingly quite bloody. Sure, it's in the title and it's a slasher, but we know how the ratings board was starting to be like towards these movies around this time. I liked the scenes in the mines, they all felt tense and the dark atmosphere added a lot to it. I feel like this movie is a missing gem that I have ignored for all my life! Perhaps this will be a rewatch every Valentine's Day. Definitely feel like it earns that! 8/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1. Scream (1996) - 10 2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) - 10 3. Oct 17, 2024 Agree. It was fine. Better than 3 and the Black Key or whatever lol Bringing the family back was a good idea imo
Oct 17, 2024 @DiggleDogg69 d--- bro watching all the classics already... what are u gonna watch around Halloween
Oct 17, 2024 Don't worry! I got some classics. Psycho, Hills Have Eyes, Sleepaway Camp, The Thing, Trick R Treat, and ofc Halloween
Oct 17, 2024 Trick r Treat is such a nice Halloween movie. It not that scary but it's just.... Halloween. Have u ever seen Tales of Halloween?
Oct 17, 2024 I have that one down for the 29th based on your recommendation! I'm honestly hyped for it
Oct 17, 2024 Happy Death Day Groundhog Day meets.. teenage slasher. It doesn't really have much gore, the kills are mostly off camera. Also they say 'freaking' instead it f---ing. It's meant as a fun slasher for a larger audience than, for example, Scream. But it does a great job at that. Jessica Rothe is great here (and hot ofc) and its just really well done overall. The sequel is also fun but has a little too much nerd in it lol. First one is gr8 though! 7.7/10
Oct 17, 2024 Don't look for character development or hidden messages, just enjoy all of Halloweens rituals and elements! Anual 31st watch for me along w Trick r Treat
Oct 17, 2024 Man starting next week I'll go into the classics (watched a few already) and Halloween movies! Aside from Ressurection I'm gonna watch all of them starting the week before Hween.
