Oct 20, 2024 Just watched new Halloween trilogy all over again. Kills and End are so, so bad. Such promise with the first film and then just a load of nonsense after it. Completely butched the franchise to a worse state than it was before the reboots and made Myers and Laurie, some of the most iconic figures in film history, become basically background guest stars with no care or thought to have been put in their characters. Shame on the writers.

Oct 20, 2024 To be fair before the reboots Michael was controlled by a cult and beat down by f---ing Busta Rhymes.. and Laurie was killed in the opening scene of the last movie (not counting the remakes) so it literally couldn't been worse lol. As much as I enjoy Kills for what it is, I agree especially Laurie has been reduced to a support character. I understand the idea of the town taking action but having a awful version of Tommy Doyle lead that group, ugh lol. Lindsay was the only one that was great and also wasn't just used for nostalgia. Marion was also usesless. And yeah making the last movie as some sort of pilot for a new killer... bad timing lol So yeah I agree that it had a lot of issues despite me liking them. But imo it wasn't Resurrection level bad or Cult of Thorn bs.

Oct 20, 2024 I like kills because I can just shut off my mind and watch it hahah If you just wanna watch Michael k--- some people for an hour and a half with not much else, then this is the movie for you. Halloween KILLS. Kinda reminds me of how I can just shut my mind off for FvJ (but Halloween Kills is still much better as a movie)

Oct 20, 2024 Tomorrow night it's I Know What You Did Last Summer & FvsJ on my schedule! Kills is next week on Halloween. Will see which I prefer this year lol. I definitely agree Kills is more fun, but I dunno which I think is done better. Starting wednesday the whole Halloween universe and all scream movies boy can't wait!!
