Oct 20, 2024 It’s called Kills, Supsuck, and that’s what it gives you. And you also get to see the town prepare for Michael’s attacks finally. There are waaaaay worse Halloween movies.
Oct 20, 2024 A group of townspeople prepare for michaels attack, yet the police, fbi etc are nowhere to be seen after 20 firemen are killed. It is kinda weird though But yes some other ones are either worse or more boring
Oct 20, 2024 The Ring After seeing this so many times the initial creepyness wore off a bit. The whole concept imo is scarier than the movie itself. But instead of jump scares, the Ring is more mystery and tension for the whole movie. It is a little 'elevated horror' (shoutout Tara Carpenter) yet the whole tape, the girl and even Rachels son are creepy. Its one of my favorite horror movies OAT and I even love the sequel, going to squeeze that one in somewhere next week lol. 8,2/10
Oct 20, 2024 Ends next Sunday. Haven’t watched it since it was released. This will be my second watch.
Oct 20, 2024 But cult and resurrection are parody films at this point, migrant. Terrifer 2 and 3 are fun because it doesn’t take itself seriously, same for the Evil Dead films after the first one as well, even though they’re not good films. The new Halloween films try to be serious and it doesn’t work as the overall story arc is nonsense and they don’t do any justice to Laurie or Myers. It’s just a bad film at that point.
Oct 20, 2024 Aside from the 1st 2 Halloween movies, the 2007 reboot, and the 2018 reboot, I’m not a huge fan of the franchise. Obviously there’s varying degrees of quality in the franchise but some of them are either forgettable or downright horrible. Friday the 13th franchise is the same way tbh and I love Jason.
Oct 20, 2024 Gonna do my annual Nightmare on Elm Street series watch (1-3 because f--- the garbage that is 4-Freddy's Dead)
Oct 20, 2024 Sure not all of them are great (or even good) but I think part 4 is like the second best of the franchise. How about NN?
Oct 20, 2024 Terrifier 2 and 3 are fun cause they push the limit when it comes to the kills, Supsuck. 2018 was perfect, second best after the original imo
Oct 20, 2024 I Don’t remember much of Elm Street 4. Is it worth a rewatch just because? All I remember is the pizza scene, the roach scene, and that weird kung fu(?) dream sequence
Oct 20, 2024 The one time I watched it, it was such a chore to finish. All of the bad aspects of late 80s/early 90s horror rolled into one.
Oct 20, 2024 I definitely don’t remember disliking these movies, but I don’t remember much about them. I’ll have to give the franchise another watch soon, it’s been a while
Oct 20, 2024 I imagine it isn’t worse than Dream Child/Freddy’s Dead, I’ll probably give it a rewatch soon
