May 4, 2018 Fun movie. Both freddy and jason dumbed down a lot but I like how they combined their stories and Elmst/Chrystal Lake. Side characters are kinda dumb tho (except mark, laurie and will)
May 4, 2018 Honestly.. the fighting scenes are both cool and cringe at the same time lol. Jason is obviously stronger in real life but Freddy can do what he wants in dreams. That concept was really cool. Also the fact that Jason stole freddies victims was hilarious. If u look at it as a non fan it was not that good. But being a fan of both franchises this was great to see. For me the most interesting part was the fact that the characters had to deal with a dream demon and a serial killer and they were fighting about who the real danger was. I truly think its underrated as f--- because it seems more like a comedy at parts than a horror movie. But the concept and execution of that concepts (partly) is really good imo.
May 4, 2018 Yea, I went to the theaters w/ one of my friends to see it back in the day loved it when I first saw it
May 4, 2018 God dammit you guys. Making me hate this film before I even see it lmao. Yeah I guess judging by the trailer description the setup for H20 is more realistic. But we need to see the whole film first. Let’s be honest. In H20 Laurie makes Michael look like a little b---- lol. I mean she goes from being all scared to “I’m gonna go chop his f---ing head off!” I highly doubt they’re going the exact same route with this one. Maybe she does all of this preparing and he still ends up kicking her a--- which would be a complete 180 from H20. We don’t know anything. Btw @Michael Myers i think M Solo means that H20 is very similar to the Scream series, which I agree with.
May 5, 2018 For all we know Laurie is just keeping herself and family safe just in case he escapes and the comment 'I wish he breaks free so I can k--- him' is something she says because of her constant fear for her families safety. It's better to have him dead than locked up after all. A trailer always takes things out of context lol. So as long as we haven't seen it I have faith in John and Jamie to give us a great movie, even if these comments worry me a little.
May 5, 2018 And yeah H20 is kinda like Scream I agree. Especially since it involves college kids. Next to Halloween Scream is one of my fav horror Franchises.. I think top 5 along with Conjuring (and its spin offs) as well
May 5, 2018 Same.. Scream 1 & 2 are classics, part 3 is kinda stale imo.. the only highlight for me is that Jay & Silent Bob cameo...lol Although, I probably wouldn't put Scream in my top 5 horror films list. it probably goes... 1. The Exorcist 2. The Conjuring 2 3. Halloween 4. Nightmare on Elm Street 5. The Shining something like that EDIT: actually here's my top 50...lol https://letterboxd.com/devil_white/list/top-50-horror-films-updated/
May 8, 2018 this is lowkey a great thread. i like the discussion. lmk if the trailer is out and i missed it...... meanwhile, i met tony moran a few yrs back. (edit and kane hodder)
May 8, 2018 It was cool. Sequels not so much tho even if in tha hood was so corny it was kinda funny Same for me! And yeah it is, great to see discussion without immature namecalling
May 8, 2018 Trailer looks creepy af! This one, Halloween, Strangers 2, The Nun, Truth or Dare, Insidious.. could be a great year again!
May 9, 2018 yall gotta watch Willow Creek if yall haven't already. so good at bein creepy, unsettling, subtle. good eerie slow burner.
May 9, 2018 Speaking of Scream, people give 4 a lot of s---. I never understood why. It was better than 3 at least.
