Nov 22, 2015 Roach did give Cotto some tools and we saw flashes of how the fight could have went if Cotto was in a division where he could hurt his opponent. Despite his jab being a sock em bopper, he used it effectively and regularly doubled up on it. Good in and out movement. He went the distance with a skilled fighter a decade younger than him in his final fight. Good on him. His wife's implants are top notch and he just made $15 million. Great retirement. Canelo looked great. Bending at the waist and slipping punches, his cardio didn't stall out, he looked as physically intimidating as ever. Loved his body work. Cotto was just too small to deal. Never a true MW. Would love to see Canelo show a little less respect in the future. I feel like he could have turned it up without much fear of what would come back at him. Maybe throw another punch into some of those combos and really commit when you know you have the upperhand. GGG will still eat him alive when that fight gets made in 2 years when Golden Boy thinks age is in their favor. Still, it's GGG and even just stepping up to him is an accomplishment.
