Rodriguez didnt have his best stuff tonight. Still went 6 shutout innings gave up only 3 hits, walked 3 and struck out 7. Of course our pathetic offense was back tonight. Thats now 22 games where they have failed to score more then 2 runs. And to boot Hanley fouled a ball off his knee early and was pulled from the game.

I wouldn't bet against a trade. I would however bet against a trade with the Sox or Yankees. Regardless, trading players doesn't have much to do with the money they're owed(which usually isn't much). It has to do with restocking the team for the future. Might as well take advantage to get some prospects that might give them future value. Chris Archer is an example of this actually. That Matt Garza trade is paying dividends.

Anyway, you said "when he leaves to go to the Yankees or Sox " which implies he'd do it of his volition, aka, free agency. So if it got to the point where he actually had that sort of choice, he'd be around 32-33. You'd be getting his down years in a park that's more hitter friendly than Tropicana Field.

Twins are slipping fast, oh well I didn't really expect it to last. Hopefully they bring up Buxton and Sano fairly soon, seems they're always the last team to give their young guys a chance, hate how slow they are with that kinda stuff.
