They are rebuilding so i wouldnt expect them to compete for a playoff spot.

They probably pulled off the robbery of the offseason getting the 2015 #1 pick Dansby Swanson among others for Shelby Miller(who is overrated imo).

DOWN GOES THE CARDS!!! DOWN GOES THE CARDS!!! Not a bad opening day at all so far. I never was a mets fan but I have Harvey on my fantasy team so will be rooting for them this evening. Never tried fantasy baseball until this year but I'm sure I drafted one of the better teams at least.

I really think Shelby is a great pitcher and will do good but the braves offense last year totally f----- him over with run support haha. Swanson was a steal for sure.
But it'll be interesting to see if we have progressed any from last year.
I'm hoping we will be ready to compete for a title for the new park next year though

You have a habit of making the same comment every time. Acting like I wasn't posting on RB about the Mets when they were s-----y as h---. All the times I'd go back and forth with Nyquill about his Phillies. Posting on a message board means nothing. I barely post on here enough as it is. Does that mean I don't watch films or listen to Rap music anymore?

It doesn't mean that at all. Using the same logic, because I'm not in the Music and Movies forum as much, that means I don't listen to music or watch movies as much which is completely untrue. Honestly, if we're talking about message board attendance, I don't remember you being in those MLB RB threads until 2009 when the Yanks won the title. I was in there practically everyday, complaining about the Mets futility. I remember BenZero, Redsoxx, Nyquill and the other dude who was a Yanks/Heat fan. Can't recall his user name. So, if I want to come here and post about them only when they succeed, s--- I've earned that. I've posted more about the Mets when they played terribly than when they played well.

Mets post season run last year was a fluke. They have an all star rotation but nothing else supports them. No offense, horrible defense, etc. Cespedes is awful, David Wright (although I like him) is in severe decline, everyone else is about average other than Granderson. No bullpen and Familia is going to get rocked this year.

Royals need another pitcher in their rotation and Soria is off to a bad start.

I think Cardinals place 3rd in their division behind Pirates and Cubs. Between that division and the AL west, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

I mean im in the camp that thinks Cespedes is overrated(hes not nearly the player he was last year, classic contract year) but hes not awful.

1st in their division, hard fought series against the Dodgers and then they swept the Cubs. Doesn't sound like a fluke. I don't know if they can reach the World Series this year but I think they're definitely capable of getting to the postseason again. As far as Cespedes is concerned, he definitely has his faults, particularly when it comes to fielding. But the Mets probably would not have made the playoffs without him last year. He changed that lineup immediately, even when he didn't get hits. People like Murphy saw better pitches because of Cespedes being in the lineup.
