On Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the Russian MMA Union confirmed that Fedor Emelianenko’s eldest daughter was attacked by an unidentified assailant while on her way home from school. The official statement comes less than 24 hours after a report revealed that a famous heavyweight’s daughter was assaulted in Moscow.

According to the Union’s press secretary, Julia Kuklin, a police investigation is currently ongoing in Moscow.

"Indeed, the attack on the daughter of Fedor Emelianenko took place,” Kuklin told Tass. “At the moment, the girl feels good. She is in the intensive care. She got the police to deal with the incident and an investigation is under way. None of the assumptions in the media have been confirmed by the competent authorities.”

A criminal case was filed with the Moscow authorities for ‘battery,’ which holds a maximum prison sentence of two years in Russia.

The incident took place just days after Fedor condemned Kadyrov’s World Fighting Championships of Akhmat promotion for hosting child MMA fights. His comments were met with threats, insults, and attempts of public humiliation from fighters like UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov and WSOF champ Magomed Bibulatov.

All comments were later deleted at the request of Kadyrov, who declared on his social media account that Fedor likely “realized his mistake.”

Emelianenko was unavailable for comment, though his longtime coach, Vladimir Voronov, told R-Sport that the heavyweight is still in Stary Oskol preparing for a yet-to-be-announced fight.

“Fedor continues to get ready at the training camp in Stary Oskol, together with the national team, working equally with all. I heard about the news (of the attack on a fighter’s daughter), but have nothing to say about it. He continues to train."

also LOL Shane Carwin is fighting Jason Ellis. a f---ing 45 year old middleweight skateboarder radio guy with 1 fight under his belt. I'm reading he'll have one hand tied behind his back.......what the f---. this looks so ghetto

BJ is probably big in the Philippines and supposedly ticket sales were not doing well. I guess a lot of Filipino fans buy tickets last minute and that was probably not gonna happen for this one if they went on with it. Also that card was Horiguchi/Bagautinov, Lewis/Tybura and legit nothing else. Albany card is weak, but still has 8 ranked fighters and that's not counting Tatiana Suarez who just won TUF and will probably be like a 4 to 1 favorite against Juliana Lima who is ranked 15 at WSW.

Think Bellator will be content feeding MVP cans for another 2 years, they treat him like a 24 year old prospect and dude is getting close to 30.

Neil Magny vs Johny Hendricks, Tim Means vs Alex Oliveira and Brandon Thatch vs Sabah Homasi added to UFC 207. Urijah Faber vs Brad Pickett + Colby Covington vs Bryan Barberena added to UFC on FOX 22 and Thomas Almeida vs Albert Morales will happen at UFC FN 100 on November 19th.

Also Chael Sonnen vs Tito Ortiz added to Bellator 170 on January 21st.

Oh yea and WSOF canceled their next two events on November 12th and December 3rd to stack their December 31st show at Madison Square Garden. Thought them going up against UFC 205 with Jon Fitch vs Jake Shields was dumb as f---.

Anyways its gonna be an afternoon NBC show just like Gaethje vs Nick Newell card a couple years ago. Main event is Justin Gaethje vs Joao Zeferino, Jon Fitch vs Jake Shields is the Co Main and Marlon Moraes is back with WSOF and will defend his BW Belt against a TBD opponent. Assume that will be the Main Card since it airs 4-6 P.M. ET, there will also be 1 hour of Prelims on NBC Sports from 3-4.

WME came out of the gates doing nothing, but now they're cleaning house with a lot of the high ranking Zuffa guys like Garry Cook, Marshall Zelaznik and Tom Wright. Despite this season i'm not a huge TUF fan, but they should be careful not to make too many changes too quickly.

Other rumors going around is that they are looking to do fewer events next year and cutt down on international shows.

Welp so much for this being the last TUF, they just announced the next season will be an "All Star" concept....

While exact details of the season are still undetermined, UFC officials told MMAjunkie that welterweights are likely to be featured on “TUF 25.” And rather than bring in a cast of unknowns, the promotion currently is targeting a group of “all-stars” to compete on the show, including UFC veterans and former contestants on previous editions of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Hopefully the winner doesn't get a title shot, like the Serra/Lutter season although i liked the concept.

Anyways seems like its Cruz vs Garbrandt at UFC 207, dunno what the hold up was.
